Hashimoto died twelve years ago today. What are his greatest hits I should look up?

vs Vader in 89's (Dome match, the Zangief match is also worth a look)
vs Tenryu 93' - The whole WAR feud is worth a look, links below.
vs Hase G-1 Climax 93
vs Liger 94'
vs Tenryu 2/24/94 (link below)
vs Hase 94' IWGP Title match
vs Mutoh 95' G-1 Climax Final
vs Choshu 96' G-1 Climax ("CHOOOOSHUUUUUUUU!!!!")
vs Takada 96' IWGP Title Match
vs Yamazaki 97' IWGP Title match (his whole feud with Yamazaki is great)
vs Regal, IWGP title New Japan 4/16/95
vs Tenryu, New Japan G-1 Climax '98
w/Nagata vs Misawa/Akiyama, Zero-One 3/2/01
vs Tanaka 02' in Zero-One
vs Kawada 04' Triple Crown Match

He's got a ton of fun matches against Scott Norton too. His Fujiwara title defense at the Dome is also worth a look. The Corino matches are pretty good too. Man, I could just list like 40 matches if I keep going, that's my New Japan Ace :to:

Not sure if you watched how Takada gets the title. But he basically ends Mutoh's "ace reign" at the January 4th Tokyo Dome Show, it's kind of a big deal because New Japan has always been the "King of Sports" and this shoot style a$$hole beats the company's (at the time) main guy and gets the belt. Here's the match.

So after having their hero surpassed by this UWF(i) shoot style a$$hole, New Japan calls for the only motherfukker that can bring the belt back home and avenge New Japan's honor... it's one of the best 12 minute matches you'll ever see, from the entrances alone you just feel the importance of the match :wow:

:blessed:

Go to ditch, I would recommend:

-Tenryu, Hara & T. Ishikawa vs Mutoh, Hashimoto & Nogami, NJ 2/5/93

-"New Japan vs WAR matches", New Japan 3/23/93.

-Choshu & Hashimoto vs Tenryu & Takashi Ishikawa, WAR 4/2/93

-Tenryu vs Hashimoto, WAR 6/17/93

-Fujinami, Chono & Hashimoto vs Tenryu, Hara & Ishikawa, New Japan 8/2/93

-Tenryu vs Hashimoto, NJ 8/8/93

-Hashimoto vs Tenryu, NJ 2/17/94.
As a Hash stan, this is one of my favorite matches ever. Hash is trying to become the Ace of New Japan after winning the belt in September of 93'. Tenryu has been New Japan's nightmare for a year and comes from beating Antonio fukking Inoki CLEAN at the Dome. It's put up or shut up time for Hash against his nemesis. And Sumo Hall absolutely knows what is at stake :wow:

Still, if you can, watch anything Hashimoto vs WAR and Tenryu vs New Japan related. You wont find a much better feud than that.

Don't forget to keep us posted on what you've watched :blessed:

A damn travesty the western wrestling media don't put the respect on Hash's name. Dude is one of the biggest draws in the history of the sport, but thanks ENTIRELY to Meltz' tastes leaning with AJPW people treat Hash like a sideman
Is Meltzer that influential in the culture?

moon vulcan (Hideki Suzuki & Yoshihisa Uto) vs. Kazumi Kikuta & Ryuichi Kawakami

Man, the 6/28 show was fun as fukk. Another tag match that was very much worth a watch. A really good preview of the title match for Sumo Hall. Nice work by Hideki trying to put Kikuta out throughout the match while Ryuichi tried to make a statement and go toe to toe with the champ. It's a really good performance by Kawakami and at least gives hope for a damn good match on Monday. I hope to LAWD they don't take the title away from Suzuki, his reign still has a shyt ton to give, and forcing Kawakami this big a push ain't gonna do shyt for him. But still, what they showed in this match was very promising. Sumo Hall ain't gonna be as into the action as Korakuen obviously, but my interest for their clash has gone up :obama:

---
Abby Jr hyping up the tag title match :wow:

~ Kobayashi asked Sekimoto and Okabayashi if their chops hurt worse than a fluorescent light or a nail board to a lariat. That the question remains as to who is truly the strongest in either the strong or the death side. That there is a split in the promotion between the Deathmatch side and Strong BJ, but they are willing to compete for the titles with pro-wrestling rules. This will be a match pitting strong vs. death, but they will show that there is more to them than just the hardcore.

:damn: If this fat fukker can turn back the clock and do some of the stuff that made him awesome 10 years ago, match could be dope :ohlawd:

The attendance for the show is gonna be pitiful but I don't care :mjcry:

It's only 12 minutes breh, and the entrances and ring ceremony give it a big match feel that I don't think has ever been topped in puro. Definitely watch it, the whole think is in the video embedded on my post :salute:

How does the time work? Is it like 15:00 their time and whatever that converts to?

Does the price go up if the currency does? Not trying to see the yen be worth no $100 and this shyt cost me like a grand one month. :heh:

Ima check out that g1 tournament when it starts. Any other things to check out other than the big ppvs?
