The ignore button is your best friend, compadre.

*checks if Wcthesecret is still on ignore*
Damn, I ain't know people on ignore literally disappear from threads. One click and TSC is 100% less corny. :ohlawd:

Add Hiroshi Yamato & Minoru Tanaka to the list of names possibly leaving All Japan.

:scusthov: at the thought of another group spreading the talent pool over there even more thin. Hopefully that isn't what ends up happening.

What's the full list so far? Mutoh, Kai, Kaz Hayashi, Shuji Kondo, and Masakatsu Funaki are the names I heard. Anyone else?

Referees Murayama and Kamihayashi and ring announcer Abe are leaving too, Mutoh going too far now :wow:

This was posted on the Observer board as the possible roster for AJPW when everything comes out:

Suwama
Akiyama
Shiozaki
Kanemaru
Aoki
Kotaro
Doering
KENSO
Omori
Hama (uncertain)
Soya (uncertain)
Nakanoue
SUSHI
Fuchi
Kea

KAI and Funaki are big losses, a lot of cool stuff Funaki can do outside All Japan. No idea how things will turn out w/r/t Mutoh starting up a new promotion or what, a lot of people are saying he'll bring everyone to NOAH and, since it's known he has the ability to raise funds, just take it over; that would be a pretty cool move. Seems far fetched to me though. His own promotion... I mean it's going to be tough to run nearly as often as All Japan, and the lesser known names wouldn't be able to get outside work too easy, the likes of Funaki would be fine though. Doesn't seem to he'd have the roster depth either... it's going to be interesting to watch though.

This is going to be ugly to see, I promise.

I thought about Mutoh taking the guys to NOAH, whether in a working agreement with his new promotion or just getting in the company full stop. But let me ask another question: What's New Japan's role in all of this, you think? The overcrowded heavyweight scene probably prohibits a lot of guys from going there, but they seriously need native juniors, especially with Devitt seemingly going heavyweight. A guy like Shuji Kondo, for example, would be someone they'd want for the division. Maybe Tanaka and Yamato, as well.

Just a thought. :yeshrug:

(Oh, and SUCKS for BURNING. Do they have anywhere to go if AJPW implodes?)

Tanaka would be a really good addition I think. Funaki could do some exciting things as well, a Funaki/Shibata/Saku alliance :whew:, KAI has great potential but NJPW has enough dudes with potential and guys who are already there, Tana, Suzuki, the upcoming Naito push, so it's gonig to be tough for some of these guys unless Mutoh does have something up his sleeve. If he does a deal with NOAH I think the roster would be stronger than All Japan, I can imagine how the Burning dudes would feel about that.

They might have to throw with IGF or something when all is said and done, Lashley/Akiyama feud :tiger: But I don't think AJPW are in any danger right now, so they're just stuck in a promotion that's messed up.

Shingo vs. Ricochet from the King of Gate finals was pretty stellar. One of the best finishes I've seen in recent memory.

Results from Dominion 6.22:

0. TAKA Michinoku & Taichi beat Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask (7:09) when Taichi used a Taichi-style Gedo clutch on Tiger.
1. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov (c) beat KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley (13:09) when Romero pinned KUSHIDA after the Contract Killer (1st defense).
2. Karl Anderson, Tama Tonga & Bad Luck Fale beat Yuji Nagata, Ryusuke Taguchi & Captain New Japan (8:19) when Fale used the Grenade on Captain.
3. IWGP Tag Team Title – 3WAY Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima (c) beat Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka and Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr. (11:50) when Kojima used a lariat on Archer (1st defense).
4. NWA World Heavyweight Title: Rob Conway (c) beat Manabu Nakanishi (8:32) with the Ego Trip.
5. Minoru Suzuki & Shelton Benjamin beat Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii (12:36) when Benjamin used the Paydirt on Nakamura.
6. Tetsuya Naito Return Match: Tetsuya Naito beat Yujiro Takahashi (15:01) with a Stardust press.
7. Special Singles Match: Katsuyori Shibata beat Hirooki Goto (13:16) with a PK.
8. Prince Devitt beat Hiroshi Tanahashi (15:33) with the Bloody Sunday.
9. IWGP Heavyweight Title: Kazuchika Okada (c) beat Togi Makabe (25:04) with the Rainmaker (2nd defense).

Notes:

-Prince Devitt is being set up to get the next shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Title on 7/20, which is, quite frankly, shocking to me. They're really committing to this Devitt push. In return, Okada requested that Devitt put the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title on the line against Gedo. No word on that, but if it does happen, I'd expect that it be at the next Korakuen show on 7/5.

-Kazushi Sakuraba returns to action on 7/20. He was at the PPV and challenged Yuji Nagata to a match after Shibata beat Goto.

-For anyone who cares, NJPW looks like they're doing a Title vs. Title Tag feud with TenKoji and Yano and Iizuka (who are the GHC Tag Team Champions in NOAH).

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with Naito in the coming months, since he seems to be behind some guys now in getting a prominent push. Also, with the way they're pushing him, they REALLY need to get the Junior Belt off Devitt post-haste. I just hope he doesn't lose it to the prospective next challenger.

Also, @Wolf211, :salute: for providing the King of Gate final. Going to need to watch that after catching up on some other stuff.
