Does it matter who they give it to? Winning Super J Cup hasn't benefited anyone's career since Benoit won it. Really, BOSJ hasn't since Benoit, either. I would bank on it being an already established dude. fukk, I wouldn't even be surprised if Liger wins again.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to CIMA? I really thought dude was going to have next

Damn breh. CIMA pretty much made Dragon Gate the nª2 promotion in Japan and for a good number of years the most profitable one. I'm not really into the Toryumon/Dragon Gate style but regardless of that, dude is a Hall of Famer, imo.

Word? I never knew that. I hadn't really seen his name circulated too much. My puro knowledge outside of NJPW/AJPW/NOAH in the 2000's fell way off.

That makes sense. What Dragon Gate was able to do in the last 13 years has gone under the radar for the most part as they don't really fit in "traditional puro" and don't have much of a relationship with other promotions, or at least not to the point were we could see a big inter-promotional feud so they are kinda isolated.

Dragon Gate is kind of a niche product but a VERY successful one. CIMA always got some pub though, even working US indys he was seen as a big deal and even got his own US indy/satellte for a 6 years.

PWTorch Report - Will Ospreay signs deal with WWNLive -

By PWTorch Staff (Sean Radican & James Caldwell)

Last week in the U.K., Paul Heyman brought Will Ospreay on-stage during Heyman’s one-man show for a sales pitch to join WWNLive.

It turns out Ospreay has signed an exclusive U.S. deal with WWNLive to be part of the EVOLVE roster, PWTorch has learned. WWNLive is paying for the U.S. work visa for Ospreay, as well as international star Zack Sabre, Jr., making their deals exclusive to EVOLVE.

Ospreay has only wrestled a handful of dates for EVOLVE, most-recently during WrestleMania Weekend in Dallas. It’s where Ospreay and Ricochet had their first high-profile encounter this year prior to their buzz-worthy match in Japan during the Best of the Super Jrs. tournament.

Ospreay is expected to join the EVOLVE roster for sporadic dates when he is available with a busy international schedule. Ospreay will still be able to work U.S. indies, like PWG, per WWNLive’s booking arrangement.

Ospreay already has an exclusive international deal with New Japan, who are currently working with Ring of Honor. But, ROH is unable to use Ospreay as part of the ROH-NJPW relationship because of Ospreay’s deal with WWNLive.

From today's NOAH show in Korakuen (that drew less than 700 people  close this shyt down pleeeaase).

Notes:
- Go SHiozaki vs. Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Heavyweight Title on 7/30 was made a Lumberjack Death Match at the suggestion of Minoru Suzuki.

It was barely hanging with Misawa too. Sacho was still working a ton of matches because he was the only thing close to a "draw" and the reason NOAH still had some sort of TV deal. After he died then everyone who was still doing them some favors just bailed and NOAH became Zero-One 2.0. It should've closed shop 2 years ago imo.
