Did they say what they're doing with the matches on the show they cancelled?Entertaining tag match between EVIL/Naito vs Ishii/Goto on Sundays Road to Dontaku show. 5 on 5 elimination match was also good.
I read they were dividing them between between the 4/27 show and Wrestling DontakuDid they say what they're doing with the matches on the show they cancelled?
As a result, NJPW had to cancel their Wrestling Hi No Kuni event on 4/29, which was set to take place there. However, they did promise to return to Kumamoto soon and gave $100,000 in relief. NJPW as well as several other wrestling promotions around Japan will be doing relief efforts for Kumamoto at their shows as well.
Since the event had to be cancelled, New Japan divided the big matches on that card and moved some of them to the 4/27 show at Hakata Star Lane and also made Wrestling Dontaku even bigger by moving some of the matches onto that show as well.
I do give Gedo props for booking a 5 vs 5 elimination match at Korakuen this weekend. shyt is 2 years late but it's something I guess
That match was lots of fun. The CHAOS vs Suzuki Gun one from couple years ago was fun too.
Not to mention we had full strength for BG for years and didn't get a single main attraction match out of it. Stable wars have never been NJ's strength though. Those matches are always fun, that's why I don't get why he didn't book stable wars with the dope roster he had. CHAOS vs Suzuki Gun could've been sooo dope if he put more effort to it.

And really, very few companies have ever properly done stable wars. Burning/Sterness and Embassy/GenNext are now a decade old and still haven't been matched
Nah. Invasion Attack I think was the last time I felt he was still on a good wave. I don't really consider interpromotional to be stable feuds, it's a different animal. I highlight Burning/Sterness and Embassy/GenNext because they featured long and flowing character threads, great matches in various variations, gave tons of people shine, and made different people on different levels.Stable wars was the bread and butter of New Japan for two decades (80's and 90's) and in puro are not that hard to book. I wasn't asking for Dragon Gate fukkery level of stable wars, just more focused booking on people not fighting for titles. The way Gedo and Jado mismanaged the beast of a roster they had for 2-3 years is really staggering. Specially when you consider that even with that iffy booking they were having great shows constantly, they pretty much became post CZW feud Gabe Sapolski in ROH
The fact they stopped doing interpromotional feuds (I kinda consider those stable wars too tbh) also hurts and makes no sense.
shyt, NOAH vs Kensuke Office was fun as fukk in 08' (the Captain's Fall match is a legit one of the most underrated matches in the 00's) and the NOAH/New Japan feud also gave us fun matchups....even All Japan vs Strong BJ was incredibly fun.
I'm glad you are not defending his booking no mo' breh

I talk about that KO/Burning tag all the time. It's one of my all time favorites, but KO/Burning was only ever about KENTA/Naka/Kobashi/Shinsuke.
