Here are the big matches announced for the New Beginning PPVs on 2/11 & 2/14:

Okada vs. Goto
Shibata vs. Ishii
Yano & Bricscoes vs. Fale, Tonga, & Takahashi
Young Bucks vs. ReDRagon vs. Ricochet & Matt Sydal
Kushida vs. Bushi
Makabe & Honma vs. Anderson & Gallows
Omega vs. ? for the IC Title


No Naito or Tanahashi in big matches, unless they're going against Omega...

This looks really bad, by the way. They should have had Nakamura drop the title to Omega, and then build Omega as the new star.

I understand that they'd rather have a big IC match headline a big PPV show, rather than a house show, but you could still do that anyway with Nakamura dropping the title at the house show.

Would not surprise me at all to see Tanahashi beat Omega for the title now. Though Tana could still be protected by a cheating victory for Omega.


ETA: Someone posted this on another board:

I think the reason they vacated it, was to avoid putting the belt on Omega. This is a dead giveaway that they never intended to give it to Omega. If they did, they would've just done the match. I'm sure that X (who will be Tana obviously), wins the title at the PPV.

KENTA ain't nearly as good as Nakamura and AJ. Specially in 2016. He would be a boost in the "star power" sense and I guess it would be interesting to see if he can draw anything after having a little WWE exposure though.
