The Nanjing massacre alone was worse than the two nukes dropped on Japan, both in terms of casualties and the inhumanity involved.

Not to be rude bruh but putting a modern day moral code on this war is kinda reckless. The expectations of warfare were different, and the UN wasn't around to dictate rules of engagement, weapons ban, war crimes etc. And there really isn't a difference between a nuke and a bomb if a bombing campaign can kill the same amount of people and have the same amount of destruction.

Everyone expected civilians to be bombed/killed as part of warfare whether intentionally or unintentionally. If Japan and Germany couldve reached us they would have bombed us too. Imperial Japan and the SS did not give af.

Japan was a militarist country that sought conquest over all of asia. They conquered Phillipines, Korea, Taiwan, etc and they committed horrible warcrimes in all those countries that are still talked about to this day. The Japanese at that time also believed they were racially superior and should be able to do whatever they want.

You can't include one part and not represent the way Japanese society functioned at the time. They were not a peaceful nation just looking to exist. They wanted land, resources and conquest.
