Nah. There’s plenty of land. You go out to Inaka (countryside) and you won’t find anyone. The problem is people are congregating in cities which makes it seem like the population density is worse that it is. For instance the metro of Tokyo contains 1/3rd of the population.

Zero time for dating, marriage, children, nothing. And he lives relatively close to his job. Imagine the guy who lives out in the country and has to wake up at 5AM, to get on the train as early as possible because he lives 2-3 hours away. So you get done with work around 6PM, have to run errands before getting on the train, and by the time you get home it's 9-10PM. At which point you've got to check emails for an hour before getting ready for bed.
They need a complete cultural reset.
