Sade is probably a better singer but as a complete package I'd take Janet's catalog over hers, Beyonce, and anyone else being mentioned in this thread.
Shes really not a good singer. She has been fortunate to be able to sing on some well arraged vocals though.Calling Sade the gawdess a cabaret singer

Janet was the complete package. She was more pop than R&B IMO. You should of named the title best female artist of all time.

Anita has like 3 good songs..I actually haven't heard her catalog but basing it off the radio Sade has more hits than her

sade is a legend, an icon just like janet jackson is. however, janet has the complete package as an artist over sade. sade maybe arguably a better singer than janet but janets wins overall

Sade is personally my favorite female artist of all time. Anita out-sings both Sade and Janet easily. I think Sade and Anita has a better song catalog than Janet.
I guess it comes down to taste. Anita has a lot of hits. Rapture, Angel, Sweet Love, You're My Everything. Then she has good R&B songs for real R&B fans like Good Love, Been So Long, Whatever it takes, etc. Sade I feel has more hits to her fanbase moreso than main R&B if that even makes sense. Anyone who is a Sade fan will probably take her catalog over most because Sade fans are more diehard than other fans. Smooth Operator, Your Love is King, Kiss of Life, Nothing Can Come Between Us, Never as Good as the First Time, Cherish The Day, No Ordinary Love, Hang on To Your Love, Sweetest Taboo is very hard to top.

janet jackson is definitely one of the best female or the best female rnb entertainers..i went to to the RN1814 concert, was insane..Ralph Tresvant was her supporting act, he performed sensitivity and the women went apezoid crazy..
