Side note I have a love/hate relationship with the cartoon from the GIF she posted, Steven Universe.

It's a very well.written, deeply layered, cartoon that possessed far more depth than it should but the show is also a love letter to fakkitry and the central protagonist is a annoying subversion of typical male leads in action cartoons

theres historical records indicating people have felt this way worldwide in one capacity or another. some civilizations acknowledged it positively, neutrally or negatively. The only thing new about this are these individuals outspokenness in a post-colonial/judeo-christian society and an internet connected world in which like minded people can communicate with one another like no other time in history.
