to young warren twice. and people are supposed to believe bobby being gay is real

That entire thing with Beast bringing their younger/alternate selves into the picture to somehow "shock" Cyclops int seeing how much he'd changed is just asinine. Where in McCoy's entire history did he seem like he'd be the type to mess with reality like that? He's the scientist, if anything he'd be the one msot against that kinda play. :mindblown:

I keep saying this, that entire 2-3 year period leading up to Time Runs Out/Secret Wars gave those writers all kinds of license for f*ckery.

The Watcher pretty much hit Beast with the

And Beast does all of this only to realize in the end that Cyclops was right

Brehs, the cacs wanted a fukken tranny to play storm. I am dead serious.

I like Janelle Monae, damn shame she has to play the hollywood game and be all "pansexual" or whatever the fukk she is now.

I really dug Janelle through her first two albums...but she's just annoying now:camby:

How about we get an actual African to play Storm for a change? Get the Queen Sono chick
I like Pearl Thusi and could see her pulling off the role.

But my preference is for a dark-skinned actress getting the gig so my wishful casting is still Jodie Turner Smith:

The Beast is a shyt character when he is in the X-Men books.
He needs to be moved back to The Avengers and only show up in guest spots in the X-books.

All I want for the MCU X-men is for them to keep things OG to the original Chris Claremont comics for the most part.

If they follow this modern-age, new millennium, post-2010 fanfiction, they're going to mess it up.
If they only follow their vague memories of the 90s cartoon without doing their homework on the lore, they're going to mess it up.
If they water the characters down just to spotlight some big-name actor like the Fox movies did, they're going to mess it up.
If they just turn Storm into arm-candy for Black Panther without really showing us her history or who she is as a character, they're going to ruin her too.

Get some real OG's who respect the source material to keep it true to the roots when they're making the movie and they'll be good.

I think Jodie-turner Smith or Yetide Badaki would be good picks.

This was the status quo during the Jim Shooter-era X-men books in the late 70s/early 80s, which was arguably the book's golden age. Beast joined the Avengers in 1975 and stayed with them until around 1984 or so, where he eventually joined X-factor after a brief stint with the Defenders. Jim Lee's X-men #1 was technically his first time officially rejoining the X-men proper since around 1975 (unless you count his time with X-factor from 1985 to 1991).

How did you feel about Beast's portrayal in the Morrison/Whedon runs?

Wasn't a fan of how he was used there either and I hated Morrison being a weirdo and wanting Beast to look like a big blue cat for no good reason.
