. This was Jamie's version of "Richard Pryor: LIVE ON SUNSET STRIP". 65/35 serious to funny. Very introspective.



Unlike Pryor, Foxx does not have a Ist ballot HOFer like Paul Mooney writing the jokes for his Specials alongside him so you can tell Foxx is getting his comedy legs back as evidenced by him trying out his impressions for a touch too long.





This imo was as equal a litmus test to see where he was comedy wise as it was a therapy session. What I loved was his praise of the Women around him including his daughters for not only bringing him back to life litterally but allowing Eric Bishop to be Jamie Foxx. His musical number with his extremely talented daughter is pure heart warming magic. I am also glad he was able to hopefully silence all the naysayers and equally conspiratorial lunatics yet some themes while initially funny will eventually have some folks "bringing up old
sh**t".
