I get it. I wouldn't be comfortable spending that much as a football player though

I don't doubt it. I bet Kobe drops $500K-1m every year just trying to stay in shape. Most of that probably goes to Tim Grover.

Chef, nutritionist, trainer, doctor, yoga, etc. etc. it adds up.

Side note: There's no way Grover isn't pulling down at least a mil just by himself between Wade, Kobe, and a few others.

Rob McClanaghan is the next cat

Dude is trying to play football as long as posible, his body is how he makes his living, so he should invest in it as much as possible. On the Bengals he's going to give quite a few dudes datwork.com.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
shyt a chef in a high end restaurant can make 70k a year and up... personal trainers at your high end hollywood gyms can make 50-60k a year... massage in a nice hotel will be about 50 an hour.. and this is all salary.. and basic expensive stuff.. i don't even know about what they cost in a 4000 a night room type of setting

so imagine what freelance, come to your house on a tuesday afternoon, type of workers make. then add up all of the things he says he has. plus some of those supplements in gnc can be a couple hundred a jar.. and i bet he's getting more expensive stuff than that.. and taking a lot more

i dont know if they really have them... hard knocks comes close.. but they should really make a great nfl or athlete documentary.. see what these guys really go through and how much they train and how much they spend on it. people think it's all fun and games and just show up and lift and practice a little bit

Question: Does anybody know how much Mike was paying Tim Grover at his peak? I know at one point Mike wouldn't allow for Grover to train anybody else but him.

Smart man. Emmitt Smith spent a lot of money taking care of his body too and it led to a record that will never be broken imo.

Jordan paid Tim Grover a lot of money. Dude spent a whole summer in '95 away from his family...it had to cost Jordan some $$$.

James Harrison is also seeing specialist that are probably cost a lot more. Then he pays for travel, lodging and other expenses. Supplements and personal chef can add up too.

I think if you are an athlete making millions, investing in your body is smart.

nikkaz buy chains that cost that much.

I mean normal people who work out and eat right spend a few THOUSAND a year on it and its to wear a tie mon thru fri and maybe hit da beach wit da shirt off.

So when you look at it like some of you posters said thats about 10% of his income.

If someone said pay 300k on taking care of my body and I would make ONE mil or really 700k. I would do it in a heartbeat :ld:

Unless you could write-off that 300k, you'd be a fool to do that.

Harrison's comments are off the cuff, there's no telling what he included in that 400-600k. I'm inclined to think most athletes don't spend that much on their body thus it is likely foolish for Harrison to spend that much, but I admit my opinion is rooted in ignorance.

IDK you might be one of these "Coli Millionaires :beli:"

so if you could be assured to make 700k by spending 300k your dumb ass wouldnt do it ? unless its a write off :rudy:

Go die somewhere:obama:
