If you even just consider Batman ‘89 as a Tim Burton take on the universe alone, which it is just that, it’s classic.

You’d have to not appreciate Tim Burton to feel like this Batman wasn’t good.

You could make other arguments about story development, costumes, casting, etc. whatever else you wanted and I’d say that’s fair if you wanted to draw the film closer to source material.

None of that takes away from the overall style of Tim Burton and his interpretation though. I’d say, because of that, it could be considered more pop cult classic, not campy.

Its a bad Batman movie. There arguably hasn't been a good live action Batman flick....just variations of "better". There are major problems with all of them. We've never had "Superman 78" for Batman.

I watched Batman a week ago, and I totally disagree. Can admit that him shooting and blowing people up with the batmobile and batwing is unBatman-like, though

But I still enjoy the movie as much as I did when I first saw it. And then when you consider the monumental leap from the last time Batman was on the screen before it....come on, undeniable classic

All i got to say is now that he's in charge of the DCEU he has to make a better batman BETTER than all the other versions that exist or STFU... that's alot of pressure on his shoulders...maybe he should focus on the superman movie FIRST and pleasing the fans...

I feel like Gunn's vision is a reflection of mine. Batman 89' was unintentionally good. Returns was significantly better.

Batman begins was trash. The dark knight was only good because of Heath Ledgers legendary performance.

Also, I have not watched 1 Gunn movie that I loathed. GoTG is the 2nd best trilogy in the MCU behind Steve Rogers Captain America.

As much as i agree with you the new head of warner made him the figurehead of the ENTIRE DCEU... that includes batman... he was the one that made this new superman legacy movie bruh... we gonna get a NEW batman in this new universe he working on...
