Langston Hughes was also gay. It was never made the main focus of his story. Most Black people back then had pride, class, and decorum. They kept their personal lives where it belonged at home because they knew and understood the assignment and the work was for the community as a whole.
Like another bruh said if he lived in this time he would probably choose to express his sexuality more openly and that would totally be his prerogative but he wouldn’t get the love on this site he deserved:manny:
