A lot of y'all are overcompensating with superficial "pro-Blackness", all to defend women who hate themselves :wow:

lawdhamercy nikkas will go HARD in the paint to cape for white hoes. yet when one of our black celebs are under fire by the dominant society ain't nann one of them crackas got the capes out for them. not one

macy gray, dababy, beyonce, whoopi goldberg, nick cannon, kevin hart = white folks stay on code & don't say shyt. why? because they hate us that's why

them cacs ain't finna give yall shyt for trying to appear fair & kind. like, let's prove we belie the trope white folks created & just maybe they'll start being nice to us. lmao man hell naw

so nikka fukk gwen stefani & ole captain save 'em bounty killer. we don't want that ugly ass ofay wearing dreads because we said so goddamnit :bustback:

You got people out here saying nikka and they’re not black at all

You got white people making rap music knowing they’ll just leave the genre alone in a few years to do other shyt

There are bigger fish to fry than worrying about a white lady in dreadlocks lol. I bet the chick on the song don’t mind because it helps get her name out there.

I don’t get into the “Whitegirls can’t wear braids” thing to me that’s dumb but Gwen Stefani definitely owes her entire life to a succession of Black people and for the most part she pays it back..I dont see her involved in white culture at all.
I like Gwen, and she’s done this before
Lol

Seen a random music trivia thing on Twitter and it was revealed that the group she is in No Doubt ORIGINALLY was started by a black dude. As story goes this guy was supposed to be the front man but he dealt with alot of mental issues and eventually succumb to it. I'll have to see if I can find his name. Alot of people in the comments were questioning why she or the other never pay homage to breh.
Why pay homage?

He clearly had nothing to do with the success of the group and may have even held them back with his illness

Nah, this ain't it. Cacs get praised for rocking styles like this while Black folk get reprimanded at work or insulted with the nappy card. Big ass double standard that cacs benefit from
It’s amazing how this is always overlooked.

Almost forgot, I had a white dude who used to train me —we were the same age, and of course he had a diverse friend group, so we were pretty cool and talked about stuff like this. I will never forget he told me that he liked me better with straight hair. LMAO I was like “You’re white, of course you prefer straight hair!” But he insisted it wasn’t that.

And actually straight hair does work for me, but I told him he had no place as a white dude to tell me that.

But yes, other races will even get comfortable enough to let us know they like when our hair is “altered”. Everyone loves black culture until Black folks are the ones expressing it.

White females overwhelmingly prefer their own hair. One industry woman going against the grain for attention isn't worth discussion. .

If you see 2000 white women in a week you might see one with a unique hairstyle that might be viewed as 'ethnic'. Maybe 2. If you see three go play the Lotto because Lady Luck is sniffing up your ass.

Look I understand the whole thing where black women couldn't wear their hair in it's natural state in corporate America. But it's a new day. You can wear an Afro as a women without issue in corporate America. That's what part of the fight was for. But I constantly see black women wearing these silly ass Brazilian wet n wavy hair pieces that don't match their hair texture and they look fukking awful. Would a Brazilian women consider that cultural appropriation?

I don't see a problem with white girls wearing dreadlocks, braid, etc. styles that are seen as more "black" because it's such a non fukking issue. There are really much bigger issues that need to be address than how someone wears their hair.
