I'm assuming his barber is going to him. If that's the case I get it. Been getting cuts from my Barber for like 10 years (started in college). They started at $15, and it's up to $25 for a cut and shave. Dude started at someone else his shop and I started going to his new shop when he opened it. I don't see myself going past $30. I got clippers at home and tough it up in between cuts (I go weekly).

You could just keep it at a certain level on your own and just go for a line up.

What he’s saying is partially true if you don’t have a long time barber that you established a rep with, I moved during Covid so really just over the last 6 months been tryna find a barber, not one barber I set an appointment with gets me in there chair at the time I set, it’s at least a 15 minute wait even though I set the appointment, one time I waited 45+ minutes for a shapeup I set an appointment for.

People gotta understand that an appointment is just a spot holder for you. Doesn't mean you get service at that time. No different than the auto shop. You can schedule a 2:00pm oil change and by 3:15pm you're still looking out the waiting area window at your car still sitting where you parked it waiting for them to bring it in the garage.
