Either Rahman didn't want to fight or thought he could force Jake into fighting him at his preferred weight. No boxer on the box office level that Jake is at is going to fight a last min replacement or let the opponent weigh whatever they want.

Before they signed a contract Paul's team asked for proof that he was close to the weight and Rahman's team sent them a video of him weighing in on a RIGGED scale, are u nikkas serious??
