I can't remember where the interview was, but he kinda talks about his relationship with his mom,

He halfway teared up while talking about it. literally "yo, why you ain't love me? :mjcry:"

it was a few years ago? Really made the title track from "Life Story" bittersweet.

After that it STILL didn't pan out.

I understand totally and perfectly, though. (no embellish, it's my mom's birthday today) Us as kids expect our mothers to love us. Accept any kind of bullshyt affection we get.

But having kids only makes you a "Mother". What you give make you a "Mom"

some mothers don't have it in them to give. :manny:

:wow:

"The time you said you should of flushed me, I forgive you ma trust me"

This black rob album is my top 15 albums of all time probably heard it dozens of times, never vaugh this line

On the low, Ma$e hearing all those dudes spitting legit :demonic: verses from all them collabos made him fall back and, probably made him start preaching. "24 hours to live" was the breaking point for him.

Them using his voice in radio spot is true. The other stuff is just what I believe happened.

If I ever find a link to the radio ad, i will post....but anybody here from NYC area over a certain age is familiar with the commercial and can also confirm it's true

hot97 never had no ad play 24hrs to live samples except they contests

you must be mistaken a dj reading the ad to the instrumental

not mistaken

Jada's voice and Jada's verse from that song was used in a radio ad for Nantucket

Jeru the Damaja appeared in print ads for that brand also around that time

We remember it because that was the time in history when corporations became aware of the opportunities that came from rapper endorsements and co-signs.......even from rappers who weren't superstar level

Do shyt you did every other day of ur life brehs.

I would withdraw all my money from the bank and spend every last penny on some goofy shyt, my day would look like a Rick Ross rap video. Rented yacht, rented Lamborghinis, rented diamonds, rented bad bytches, madd bottles of everything, madd lobster tails and scallops and steaks, etc...

you must be young then because that time you spoke of been had arrived in the 80s and early 90s. the song we talkin bout was late 90s.

on top of which your link tells NOTHING OF THE RADIO AD.

it only says what WE (new yorkers) been knew; kiss mentioned em on 24hrs to live.

the song made sales in the hood, no mention of an ad

with all the fake styles p dissin aaliyah sh!t im not backin down @360dagod

i was a radiohead back then and never heard that ONCE.

looked at an article from Sept 1998 and no mention of mase or puffy who were the biggest thing then

'Juice Guys' Strike It Rich

As for the radio ads, the company doesn't have an advertising agency. The two Toms just walk into a radio station and start recording as they talk to each other and from that, their whole promotional campaign begins.

toms didnt have any urban spots. they only had the " Hi im Tom" ads back then
