NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The more I listen to this the more shallow it feels.

It's a good album. Good beats, Cole is rapping well. But it's all a little....i dunno...empty. A lot of generic bars and a lack of true inspiration. His music just lacks personality to me. He raps well and the beats are enjoyable but I need more than that if you want to put Cole on a pedestal as a truly great artist.
It’s funny cause initially I felt A LITTLE like this but nah I love this shyt. This album is heat front to back and it gets better every listen.

I hear you, even though my stance on the album is still that it's very solid and his most consistent work yet. I think he's not quite on Kendrick's level of crafting songs and albums. He might have proven he's a better spitter with this one though

I think the end of Applying The Pressure explains exactly what his aim was with this album.

I really just think he wanted to flex on this one, hence there being quite a few songs with no traditional chorus.
Ironically despite this I still think this is on par if not his best work because of that. It doesn't have a traditional album structure but still flows seamlessly to me.

I do believe we will get more of an orthodox album from Cole with The Fall Off.

nikkas in the barbershop was saying the line at the end of my life about can't be working mopping up Wendy's was because Morray worked at Wendy's before he got on.

I can't verify the Fayetteville tall tales but the dude said he worked with him :jbhmm:
This makes the line that much more powerful going into the hook

nikkas really made it out. Cole gave Morray that alley oop
:wow:

Yep he wrote it all out last year.

The Offseason
Its A Boy
The Fall Off

Then “retirement”
I wasn't sure if It's A Boy would be an actual album when he posted the list

I'm glad he's doing that instead of using his son for a Puma press run
