my initial thoughts exactly, ive been a fan since 2009 but i would be lying my ass off if i said ive revisited any of his projects since forest hills drive. even that doesnt match the quality of the warm up and friday night lights either :hubie:. drake and kendrick lapped him twice quality music wise. if he doesnt bring it with this one, im done checking for dude completely but that 2 song EP he dropped last year was a good start.
The problem is that he hasn’t improved as a producer since the warm up or fnl.


The no feature stuff hurts his last two project as well.

J Cole doesn’t take chances at all. It’s a reason he’s in the record books for having the 2 biggest second week drops for for albums on the charts

I was surprised to see he produced RNP for Cordae, that song was hard.

I'm in for this album, I feel like this is gonna be a return to form and we're gonna get some vintage Cole. First day cop either way.
