I don’t think it was a bad thing for him to speak on his reasonings and make things clear to his fans.
It just doesn’t erase the fact that he kissed Kendrick’s ring. He gave up the legacy he’d been fighting his entire career for all for a friendship that didn’t fukking EXIST.
This is the one thing me and @spliz agree on regarding this entire debacle. Cole absolutely took his “friendship” with Kendrick wayyyyyy more to heart than Kendrick ever did. Kendrick at best respected Cole’s skills and probably liked him as a person. But he never, not ONCE allowed any of that shyt to shift him away from claiming number 1. Not just on wax but in mind and spirit. Cole said he was the best. Kendrick BELIEVES he’s the best and friendship be damned.
Lowkey Big Sean should’ve got at Kendrick too but I think Sean knows Kendrick would tear his head off. He ain’t REALLY want them problems.

I like Cole as an artist, but there's nothing he can say on the issue to help himself at this point imo
Dude say he don't want to lose a friend, and a couple lines later saying he don't want to resort to bots and paying to be in the algorithm to get the crown, implying (to me at least) thats what Kendrick did to win. Like bro just go inside smh.
@Ziggiy what if in a hypothetical situation Kendrick had a brother or brothers who could rap as good as Cole, Drake and Nas. What would Kendrick do in that situation? Would he destroy his brotherhood with all of his brothers in order to be number 1??
