this shyt is sooooooooo boring.
I couldn't make it through 5 minutes :mjcry:

I'm saying! This shyt is brutal! How the fukk does J Cole do an interview with Pump and end up sounding dumber than Pump!? :laff: I don't watch Cole interviews, but wow.... this dude is brutal to listen to. Juelz upon juelz, but at a nyquil pace.

nikka is sitting here telling Pump how smart he is without any proof and seeking validation from this punk. shyt is what suck ups and weak men do. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways and has no direction with his actions. Cole can't preach all his shyt in his music but then sit down with pump and say 'yo you're really a smart dude. I get what you're doing." fukk is that?

As if J Cole has the eye for detail to grasp the bigger philosophical message pump is saying...which is bullshyt. Call it for what it is man and stop praising motherfukkers for shyt they didn't intentionally do. Pump's music is simplistic crap about getting high, fukking himself up and buying shyt to stunt on the haters. There is no deeper philosophical explanation for his personality. He is simply a dumb kid. He isn't manipulating the masses and has a master plan on some Lupe Fiasco type shyt.

Cole disses this fakkit in 1985, wants to speak with him to get his prospective, notices how stupid he is and then feels sorry for his ass so he props him up like he Kanye. This is a bad look for Cole and comes off as fake.

Positive, artsy-fartsy rappers are the biggest frauds in hip hop. I've said tons of times and nerd posters stalk me as a result but it's the truth. When you follow hip hop long enough, you know the pretentious, "I'm not like them" gimmick rappers are the worst. They play both sides and worst of all, make watered down music of whatever side they're playing.

"Positive" faux-deep rappers crave validation from the streets

Cole has always been corny. Some people just chose to ignore it

People choose to ignore all kinds of things. Yet when you bring up the obvious, the anger comes out

Imagine Ice Cube dissing Vanilla Ice and then interview him trying to understand him:mjlol:

Cole played himself

There's no generational gap, nor J. Cole ever dis Lil Pump. 1985 in itself is a short version of what this interview is about.

this is why J Cole is not or should not be considered the voice of hip hop in 2018

This is conflicting to me, because these type of things will directly lead to less beef and diss records, which is an exciting and competitive part of Hip-Hop, but it's really forward thinking and just plain out positive of J Cole to organize this.

I've never met any Colombian who talks like Lil Pump does. I'm also surprised he keeps saying the n word after that incident where he snitched on imaginary black guys

i watched a few minutes of this earlier and left cuz it was like watching beavis talks to j cole on the couch about nothing deep lol. im finna watch the rest of it hopefully to beat my insomnia. but no, shyt like this doesn't "need" to happen in hip hop. for one, it's not even organic like the mentorships a prior poster wrote about. also, i'd rather cole try to reach out to other subgenres by making an actually fire song on his album...but we all know j cole must go platinum with no features so that is out. he could still do it off his album (see kendrick on new freezer, goosebumps, mask off, etc) but i know, i know, not everybody can do what king kendrick does. the nerve of styles P to even try on compare him:francis:
