So is she going to stay in NXT or will she eventually be on RAW or Smackdown?

This ain't gonna fly without a manager. We saw with Asuka becoming a comedy act, and Andrade just straight up being let go.

They might give her an initial run based off NXT buzz, but there's no doubt she will be dumbed down and scuffed up within a year on the main roster.

iMO she’ll have some staying power and last at least as long as Kairi did on the main roster, maybe even as long as Asuka has :manny:

lowkey she need to be the one to dethrone Charles :youngsabo:

It's the first newsworthy shyt regarding Io in like a year so I pushed the boat out

Welp. They bout to give her a sentai gimmick then release her in six months :francis:

They about to change her name to Isoroku Yamamoto, have her get squashed by Charlotte then release her for budgetary reasons.

I understand the skepticism, this being WWE and all but I think Io stans have cause for optimism:

  1. Even if they change her name and give her some cheesy gimmick, she's already shown she can make that work. She was still dope when she was "Hitokiri, the ninja assassin" in Lucha Underground. Tho obviously I hope they don't change her name*
  2. She can do spectacular athletic shyt that no other female wrestler can do (safely), which hopefully will make her at least somewhat interesting to Vince and Bruce and them. She's made for HIAC, Money In The Bank, Elimination Chamber type fukkery at the very least.
  3. If Vince and Bruce don't "get her" and the call-up turns out to be the beginning of the end as it has for some other NXT vets, that's fine too because if they release her then she can either go back to Stardom or sign with AEW.

I'm just tired of her languishing away in NXT. She did her thing there, including putting up some of NXT's best ratings head-to-head against AEW, making "Women's War Games match" a viable concept, etc. but it's BEEN time for her to move on to something else. It was already past time a year ago. I'd rather she get deavored than waste any more time in NXT.

I'm fine with them changing her look back to something like this tho
