There's too many moving parts, no one ever dies, and Luffy never learns shyt. At least Naruto changed up tactics when and stopped charging blindly at folks. Luffy just screams, does something stupid that is supposed to cause long term damage that he doesn't care about then lucky bullshyt flies out of the skies to save him.....kinda like the chapter last week. He's talking reckless to one of the most powerful folks in the OP universe like he's strong enough to do anything to her.

For the first 400 or so episodes One Piece is one of the best action anime going. The way they butchered the pacing later on is criminal. One Piece is what made me an anime fan like 9 years ago and was a favourite for a long time, having to drop it a few years back hurt my soul, but I couldn't wade through the bullshyt anymore. Manga only these days.

Can't dap this enough. I honestly include when Kuma appears at the end of Thriller Bark in that stretch too, but man... that was one hell of an emotional ride. Just remembering everything Luffy put himself through to save his bro (and this was AFTER watching his whole crew get raped in front of him) and how it all ended...
