I read out of loyalty :birdman: these days more than interest. shyt's been going for two decades and has two years worth of story progression.

shyt is ass, 700 episodes and it ain't even halfway done :heh:
All the GOAT animes are about 60 episodes or less, with a few exceptions

:usure: no on that bogus claim

Dragonball /Z was 300 episodes of pure bliss
Saint seiya 100+
Gundam
hunter x hunter
yu gi oh
pokemon
naruto
bleach
fairy tail
d man
gintama

The pacing :scust:

There's like 700 episodes of this shyt and I ain't even at 100 :mjcry:

Does this ever get interesting?

:russ: I remember those days well. I did the same thing.

After seeing so many folks ranting and raving about it, I gave it a shot. Binge watched it cause I didn't have anything else to do.

":what: I'm like 60 episodes deep. What the fukk are all these folks on about!?"

From there I think I kept binge watching it out of sheer habit.

I didn't get hooked/didn't think it got good til maybe halfway through the Alabastra Arc (ep 100 or so), and I still think it's some of the best fiction I've ever seen/read.

It had it's ups and downs after that, though. Extremely high ups. Very low downs.

I took a hiatus for some reason, finally dropping the series at 391.

I got a crunchyroll subscription and shyt...

I'm trying to get the most out of it. The anime's I've liked in the past/present are: Dragonball series, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titans.

Based on my taste how does One Piece hold up in comparison?

It doesn't from what I've seen of it.

It only holds up in certain places.

Though you liked Naruto, you may like it enough to stick with it.

One Piece can get waaaay more drawn out than Dragonball ever did/does.

I'm a fan for life man. I'm all about these against all odds characters coming up and ish.

My brother I've spoke with you in the Naruto thread, how you feel about One Piece in general?

It's a love it or hate it show
I read the manga and tend to watch the anime when a arc is done cuz I hate the pacing of the anime
I'm a dressrosa arc just need to finish it but I get side track with other anime

IT WAS SLOW AT THE BEGINNING. I JUST FINISHED THE ALABASTA PART. LUFFY IS HILARIOUSLY STUPID BUT I THINK THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT FUNNY. THE REACTIONS ARE ENTERTAINING.

ONE THING I DID NOTICE THOUGH. EVERYBODY HAS SOME BEYOND RETARDED LAUGH.

Nobody who's into One Piece does it week by week anymore.

It's binge status now and yes it's still good.

There's a lot of people who read it week by week, homie lol this recent arc especially ain't on no binge status, nikkas must know what happened next :whew:

Hold up? I think you may have told them before but what are your very low downs?

lol, I think some of the filler is bad but to me the anime has just become a companion piece to the manga. Like I mostly just put the anime on in the background to kind of help me remember all the shyt going on because the manga can sometimes be a bit difficult to keep track of what with Oda doing all tons of shyt that seems irrelevant but is actually really important.
