I recognized it back in 99', still kept watching out of investment in the story, as to me Piccolo was the blackest character and dare i say the most interesting character on the show.

I started to see similiar black face images in other animes and noticed how they also downplay their own race in favor of their more idealized "westernized" influence. ITs some clown shyt. But i dont really fukk with any anime; havent in over a decade, but that just came from seeing the same tropes and similar story arcs to mnay time and being bored with it

Hey man I ain't calling nobody a c00n :hubie:
I'm just pointing out the faults and racism in anime when I see it :hubie:

You the one calling me a clown and saying I'm seeking attention :hubie:
I know but that was intentionally a logical fallacy haha that's why I said ad hominem in parentheses
We good bruh, I see your point tho I'll have to revisit dbz and see if I feel the same

im at that point as well. anime used to be fun and diverse, now its nothing but otaku and pedo bait :scust:

same story over and over, just different looking cacs

Agreed.

The craziest thing to me as how I distinctly remember feeling like I'd never fall out of love with anime, same thing with wrestling, but over time it just happens.
I watched some DBZ super episodes a couple months back when they was during that Goku Black BS and i just didnt give a fukk outside of Future trunks and Vegeta getin a few moments to shine. Those were the only moments that 'old feeling' came back to me. Then it was just same ol same ol.

If the new nikkas like it then good for them, by all means enjoy because ive been down that road already and seen the peaks of what that genre has to offer some it doesnt move me any more.

The Japanese are well-known for this.
The Black characters in DBZ (as in Naruto, though surprisingly not in Bleach or Cowboy Bebop) look fairly stereotypical, I wasn't sure if Mr. Popo was a racist caricature, only because of Chiaotzu. Its entirely possible he is.
