I've come to the realization that most burger joints are overrated

I've found that I don't really prefer a lot of seasonings on my patty for a burger. Also once I just started doing my own "Smashburger" it's the only way forward for me plus get 70 -80 percent lean ground beef and use potato buns.
High heat smash it down about 1 1/2 minutes on each side and you good. Trust me your family and guests with worship you.

Disagree with Culvers. Them bytches GO. But Shake Shack and some local Steak-N-Shakes actually make damn good burgers, with the latter more reliant on who is on the grill. The other two are more consistent but for the low price, if I hit my local steak-n-shake between noon and 2pm, the person they have on shift but fukking it up for everybody else :wow:

I 100% feel this way about steak joints, though. I don't go to them. I can buy a weeks worth of steaks and cook them properly for steak house prices.

I understand copping a burger if you're already out just to grab something to eat real quick, but if you're still praising the taste of burgers from fast food spots, that says a lot about your culinary ability. No fast food / chain restaurant can compete with a properly done homemade burger from scratch. Part of it is the fresher ingredients, part of it is the low bar to clear.

Not trynna be harsh, but if you can't make a burger right now that'll make a random person swear off of fast food / chain restaurant burgers forever, your food might be tridd-ash.
