He has OCD and anxiety disorder.. I kinda feel for dude.
Remember, you're looking at this situation logically. His mind isn't handling these situations he feels unsafe in logically. I bet he's trying really really hard to be "normal" but it's not that easy.
I don't understand why the fukk Rockets don't start treating him for what he is instead of basically saying "we can't have a different set of rules for someone on the team". Ridiculous considering he's suffering from a diagnosed condition. You would let your knee injured player run the same drills as your healthy players
It's a mess. Royce himself is also to blame for lashing out on Twitter and not handling his business private BUT Rockets are also to blame because they still haven't asked his doctors "what does he need to be able to feel safe and be able to play?" and just give him that.
Somewhere you have to realize that all people aren't the same and can't function under the exact same conditions. This is a wake up call for the NBA too. Teams need awareness of this kinda stuff because I'd be willing to bet that Royce ain't the first one with these struggles that has been in the NBA and sadly, I believe that most of the other guys just disappeared from the league instead of being open about their situation like Royce and asking for help.
