So I installed this at work, and it's cool except for NOT being able to search the media on my phone itself. It will only let me search my library.

The reason why i loved Windows Media Player so much was being able to throw in tracks from album folders.

With i-tunes... the ENTIRE library is laid out (sure, you can use the search function, but the simplicity of dragging tracks from a folder with multiple screens on the window was ACE - and after years of using Windows OS, the transition to Lion was no fun, and after half a year, i'm still adjusting).

I dunno if i'm articulating this right or anybody can relate but...

Basically, i've compromised and settled for I-tunes as my primary player - even tho its still shiit to me after all these years (back during my Windows days, I-tunes was strictly used to updating the ipod, never thought it would be relegated to my main music source. Bleh).


ITunes 11 better be off the hinzell. Now i have to update my phone and my ipad just to sync shiit. *sighs*


The proprietary exclusivity becomes a nuisance after day 2.

This version is really slick if your have a well manicured music library, but if you're one of those lazy folks who songs are untagged, no artwork, etc. you will not eat good with this.

Album view in iTunes 11 is basically telling me that my usual meticulous efforts to maintain my iTunes really aren't meticulous enough.

I used to have double disc lps as separate albums. Now I got to go ahead and merge all that shyt.

you gotta go to "get info" to do it. its always been there

get info - options - media kind - select podcast.
