:ohhh: see this is why I love that era. There are so many songs that I completely forgot about but instantly know as soon as I hear them.
One of the things that's bittersweet about that era is how much of it isn't on streaming and could potentially become lost media.

Matter fact some of it already is lost media.

Yeah a ton is lost. Luckily sites like archive.org have backed up DatPiff and other hard to find music. Plus people like me have hundreds of loosies and tapes and this podcast should help unearth/preserve some forgotten joints

And even though some mixtapes from that era on streaming, those versions are replayed or left off altogether because of sample clearances

If i come across anything I'll let you know. The Lawn held me down during the blog era. My most visited sites from 2007-12: The Lawn, Smoking Section, Niketalk and Youtube

A week late but I'm just listening to episode 7. I really wasn't heavy into Charles Hamilton's music I only knew about his controversy (fight with the chick, beef with Black Spade etc), only song I know is Brookyln Girls. But it was cool to hear his backstory, I like how they juxtaposed his and Cudi's careers

yeah.

I'm not too big fan of either, but I'm more familiar w/ Cudi...and it is interesting to think if their careers got switched
