What thread fam?
Fred.

good looks I just edited, my original post didn't make mention of nahright, I think it got merged with someone else's that also made a thread about the pod and had it in their title@aceboon you gotta edit the thread title, the whole pod isn't just about NahRight lol
But I listened to the first two episodes last night. They did a great job recounting the rise of blogs based on how major labels and album sales were trending. Glad they mentioned Bol, that nikka was the OG Hater, similar to what Akademiks is now
Is AHH and the IC acknowledged as well? If not...glad SOHH is getting its recognition

yea them and Boxden got mentionsIs AHH and the IC acknowledged as well? If not...

I never knew of or heard about NahRight.com before this podcast. Most I knew was Rap Radar, 2dopeboyz, HNHH, HipHopDX, RapBasement and the mixtape sites like DatPiff and LiveMixtapes
20 minutes in and I've learned so much Episode 1. Best podcast I've heard in years
I was young in middle school so Rap Basement and HipHopDX and LimeWire were my go tos. When the blog era really kicked off I was on the other sites. Got into DatPiff 09-10 freshmen year of high school and the rest was historyword? NahRight was one of the big dogs, but I wasn't on there that much. Episode 3 is mostly about NahRight
The Smoking Section was my go to because they were more "journalism" focused with long form interviews, profiles and good analysis. Most sites were just posting a brief writeup with the links to music. Plus they had a Southern slant which was more my speed. Their former writers are doing big things now. Bansky co-hosts Kevin Durant's podcast. Gotty who started the blog, Justin Tinsley and David Dennis all work for Andscape/ESPN
