If Reigns loses at WM to Cody, Damian better show up and cash it that brief case immediately. That way Cody fulfills his story, but also leaves the fans pissed off, but invested. Also makes Priest the number 1 heel. But that's only if Cody goes over at WM, which I don't think he will. But the tears would be legendary.

Cody being shyt on 2 years straight at Mania is not good for his character and it would just piss off fans in a bad way.
Yeah but it gives an automatic feud for him. With someone like Cody, the chase is the appeal. Plus he'll have his moment, and win it back at the next PPV, or Summer Slam, but sets up a lot of options if Roman needs time off.

This is a failed logic that Vince went with for almost 7 years (2013-2019) and it showed time and time again that fans weren't very invested and were just pissed off by that kind of booking. They either stopped watching, stopped spending money on the product or were so against the company that they hijakced shows, matches and were constantly at the defensive.
La Nariz was able to finally cleanse that relationship with their audience, it would make no fukking sense to go back to it when the guy that's gonna be chosen for it is Damian fukking Priest
