Izzo takes non tier 1 talent into the discussion of championship material, that is what separates him from other coaches. Izzo is about to start upping his recruitment on 4-5 stars anyway so its about be
season.

Is he stubburn? Yes. But let's be real: this is the FIRST time his squad has been popped in a major tourney. Coach K, Self, etc etc have all taken an early exit L (with a team that was supposed to go far). It took until 2016 for Izzo to.

Izzo is a GOAT,tier 1.
That nikka takes teams with mostly subpar cats and Always turn em into contenders.

Espn and 247 weren't doing rankings back in 2008.
Edit: rivals 2008 he was a 3* ranked 122 out of the top 150.

Is Izzo better than coach K? No, and it's pretty obvious. However he is easily a "tier 1" coach.
