Kind of like @Art Barr said

You would be a fool to let izzo go, I’m not a MSU fan by a long shot but, he’s the reason MSU is relevant, and if he bounces, you all are royally fukked and back to the basement you go

Sometimes a message gets stale bruh and that seems to be the case with Izzo.

That and I never felt he was as great as he was pumped up to be anyways

That’s true, but it’s not a lot of folks clamoring to be in east Lansing, maybe a young new assistant can revitalize the program, but to quote Devin the Dude, they would be fukking over their for sure p*ssy trying to get more, and that’s how you end up with none

My dad, who is a Michigan stan, was going HARD on Izzo last night. Breh was saying "he's getting out coached, he yells at his players, recruits aren't gonna go there anymore just to lose in the first two rounds, he's not winning Big Ten titles..."

So I was listening quietly and then hit him with "damn, so you saying he's the Jim Harbaugh of Big Ten basketball?"

dad was like :dwillhuh::mjcry:

He overcoaches like crazy. That nonsense might work with lesser talented squads, but guys who know their worth and will be in the pros will tune that bullshyt out.

Well maybe he should've overcoached yesterday because it looked like he didn't coach at all. He let Syracuse zone befuddle him like he didn't have film on how to beat them. Just jacking up 3's is what Cuse wants you to do. You beat that zone working hi/lo. Put someone free throw line extended and someone working the baseline and eat. But Izzo game plan was to rotate the ball around the horn and then jack up a 3. Called all them timeouts for his team to go right back out there and continue to do the same thing. That was embarrassing. They outrebounded Cuse 51-30 (players did their part), Cuse made only one 3 pointer (players did their part), Cuse only had 3 assists (again....players did their part), and yet, Izzo couldn't run a set or two against the zone to put his players in a position to win. He failed those kids yesterday.

Low key, State has an awesome campus; better than Michigan's. They'll still get recruits with the right coach. Look what Dantonio's done with the football program. It's not some wasteland in the middle of nowhere.

Well of course it’s kids that are going to sign up to go there, but again until he got there, there were not a lot of recruits worth a damn going there

His bully ball 90's style basketball doesn't work anymore. Back in the day he'd get the biggest and best athletes make them stay 4 years, out defend, out hustle and out rebound you. Which would work until he ran into a blue blood like Duke or UNC who he couldn't out athlete.

Now the game has become more about skill and guard play around the perimeter.

Nevermind the fact that Michigan which for 50 years (outside a couple years when Magic decided to go their because Michigan wouldn't let him play guard) was the all around better program now was down because of near death penalty.

He lucked into a great situation.

Izzos hype is greater than the product right now. He played an easy Big Ten schedule. Only played Ohio State and Michigan once. Got beat down both times. Didn't play @ Nebraska or @ Penn State or @ Michigan.

It was crazy to me how many analysts had them in the championship having to beat Duke, Kansas and Villanova after them being beat down by Michigan in the big ten tourney.

Loss is soley on Izzo...

Sit Jaren Jackson for Ben fukking Carter in crunch time...
Haven't figured out how to play against a zone going on years now
Miles Bridges has developed ZERO game...he can shoot and jump over a minivan, that's literally it

Overall a complete waste of talented players that will now be gone...The silver lining is that we don't have to lose to Duke again..
