Get 'Born Like This' asap. NehruvianDOOM is cool but it's mostly the 17 year old rhyming. Imma big JJ DOOM proponent but the flock seems split on that. Mr Hood is worth a listen if only to see how rap sounded to him in 1991 or whatever.
I've always danced around getting Born Like This. It's that good? Mr. Hood is on my wishlist. I heard JJ Doom was trash, so I have avoided that.

Born Like This is fantastic. I used to say Cuban Linx 2 was better but I'm not sure anymore. It's very smart and jammin'. And Raekwon is on it over the UFO beat.

I was semi into Cudi given how terrible he was at making sounds yet somehow made an album i was briefly paying attention to. Then he wore that Tron body suit.

This is one of the wildest things I've ever read on here. Album saved rap for me along with Supreme Clientele during the worst era of black music in America's history. Sade, Anita Baker, Scooby Do, Jeffrey Osbourne, Greenbacks, ?, Issac Hayes, I hear voices, The BDP drums, The Microphone Fiends drums....cacophonous? No way. The only song I couldn't rock with was the slow it down sped it up w/ Grimm because the beat made me sea sick.

His worst stuff from his prime is the Viktor Vaughn material. CAC beats.
You best be talking about 2 breh :aicmon:

Madvillain is one of my all-time favourite albums. Huge fan of Operation: Doomsday because of my own personal nostalgia.

Someone earlier in the thread said that they thought of Operation as a cacophonous mess. Fair enough - I always thought of it being like Basquiat's art - the lines aren't very clean - in some cases they look like gouges and scratches, and sometimes it looks like stuff has been randomly slapped together, but when you stand back and look at it - it's just :banderas:

Operation Doomsday, Take Me To Your Leader, MM FOOD and Born Like This are my shyts

I don't know why people like Madvillain so much...it has like 7 amazing songs and few decent ones but the rest was ZZZZZZZZZ to me....

The vic vaughn shyts was trash....never liked those albums...dope concept/persona tho (I dunno if he would say this now but he admitted the 2nd vic vaughn album was just for the money in an old interview and it shows...)
