True but OSU has better speed/talent than UNC, UVA,FSU, Duke. Our d line is gonna get after Lawerence, we literally got 4 guys in the secondary who will be playing on Sundays next year to match up with those receivers. What i think puts us over the top though is our run game. Clemson gonna have to sell out to stop the run and i know Clemson has a great secondary but i love our chances with our passing game against them.

NC lost to a Wake Forest team who will more than likely get blasted by a down year MSU team in their bowl game, and Virginia lost to Miami of all people who couldn't even beat a damn C-USA team. That's why you need stats like QBR so that all tha bulljive like garbage time stats and whatnot can gtfoh cuz it make nikkas look extra saucy when they really not, or they just aight.

They were like top 10 - 15 in the nation in total defense last year.
They didn't have the nfl talent that previous teams had. You can tell how good a def is by how many players get drafted in the first 3 rounds.
I like this OSU def over the last 2 Bama defenses bc of a special player on the edge, and depth in the secondary.

Perkins has 63 TDs the past 2 seasons he's got talent.
Coan just has a high QBR because of how much they protect him, he doesn't get sacked a lot and isn't asked to make high risk throws. That doesn't mean he's a better QB than someone who had 35 pass TD's. And Clifford can't even complete 60% of his passes lol

It's why usage rate is used in basketball. Of course the guy who barely gets touches is going to be more efficient than a #1 option who always has the ball
Nah, brodie. Don't try to sneak that "past 2 seasons" in there. You know damn well football is the epitome of "what have you done for me lately". He balled out last year, but when it came time to elevate and evolve, he done took a serious dip. His receivers have some of the best #s as far as dropped passes and other areas are concerned and yet he's on the decline instead of taking the elevator up. And nothing wrong with Coan being an Alex Smith type of player. Them type of players still getchu to the playoffs and/or stabilize your program/franchise. Rather that then Perkins who has been egregious with throws all year.
End of the day, you tryna win football games, and I can't do that if you out here tossing 11 picks compared to the guy only tossing 4 with a higher YPA on his throws might I add.

I'll give you Howell. He showed something this year, even if it was against Mercer's, Virginia's & GTech's (lost to damn Citadel) of the world. He would be an upgrade over Coan and Clifford, but not by this wide margin that you're trying to portray.
You should be confident. Don't let the media gas you. Go back and watch the 16' game. We weren't outmatched like nikkas try to make it seem. Urban had a trash ass gameplan, our starting G went down & they abused the backup, JT's ceiling was the roof, we gave them short fields 2 times with missing FG's and we did not commit to running the ball with our actual running backs. Now ask yourself, does that sound like anything Ryan Day and this team would do? I wanted whoever got lined up. Just like in 14' you run thru the hardest nikkas 1st and the next shyt ain't nothing.
And Chase should go off. You know Clemson gon' be too cocky to even think about triple teaming him like Wisconsin with two OL plus a chip every time. So more than likely, he'll get some one on one opps and trust and believe, I don't care who it is, they'll be food.
