Brent Venerables shut down Tua ass last year with his scheme. Let these OSU brehs keep talking though.
First off...
Please tell me which B1G team ....or team period that you played that you'd seriously think would have beat or even challenged Clemson?
Next I have a view that it seems y'all keep glossing over.
Out of 14 teams in the B1G...6 of them [yes 43%] have Offenses ranked 98 thru 129. Fun Fact...y'all played 5 of them.
3 more teams are ranked below an average of 65 ( basically making 64% of your conference offenses garbage). The only top 25 offense is y'all at #5 making fukking Indiana the most potent offense y'all faced in conference at 31st. So basically looking at your schedule...8 of the 12 teams y'all faced had very very bad offenses like...86th or below. IND, Wisky and FAU are all ranked 31-37 to round out the rest of the teams.
You wonder why I keep posting those stats? It's because y'all keep warping reality like y'all been shuttin down play makers all year long. You bring up Jonathan Taylor like Wisconsin isn't a One Dimensional team by design and fairly easy to shut down when the QB is hit or miss on even simple passes. So I'll leave it at this for right now...If Penn St slowed you down & scored 17 points in the process...what makes you think a Clemson team with more weapons on Offense can't score more while limiting your scoring?
Did you see Trevor in the ship game last year?Clemson will be vulnerable if the Buckeyes are balanced
JK Dobbins is the key to the game, not Fields. If Dobbins is getting 5 yds a pop, he's the guy that will control the game for the Buckeyes.
Secondly, Trevor Lawrence is prone to mistakes as well. Clemson can scheme, Ohio State can scheme as well. Which brings me to my 3rd point.
Clemson has the coaching advantage but I wouldn't sleep on the DC Mattison. He's big game tested and he has just as much experience as anyone.

Now flip that around, name me one team Clemson played that could have seriously challenged OSU.First off...

They were like top 10 - 15 in the nation in total defense last year.Bama's def hasn't been elite in awhile. I like this Buckeyes def better than the 17 & 18 Bama def

Difference is ya'll don't have Brent Venables. Now flip that around, name me one team Clemson played that could have seriously challenged OSU.
How about this, scUM, Pedo, Wisky are much closer to Clemson than Wake Forest and Virginia and whoever else in the ACC is to OSU. Why is this a point to make? And if your point is because y'all played well against Bama LAST year, y'all have a different team in a new year, especially up front on D.
The same Venerables whose defense has been torched multiple times in the playoffs? Cool.Difference is ya'll don't have Brent Venerables.
