all those l.a. comedians are stuck up on top of being untalented....they think its only for the ucb/performance artist types....they gossip & trash people like charles barkley on their sh1tty podcasts....barkley's a comedic genius, they're the ones that suck.....

theres sports announcers that kill em.....any random character in your neighborhood...the gangsters, your local bookie, drunks, homeless people, bus drivers......comedians have become a useless profession.....

here's full force talking about house party....even r&b singers kill these fukin losers

I blame Kevin Hart

he gets all the big budget comedies and dude isnt funny at all

nobody would be saying "they dont make comedies anymore" if it was someone who was actually funny in his spot

there have been some gems though like Popstar and Good Boys

The internet is funnier than most comedies these days but nobody wants to take a chance on them.
Well that's a double edge sword. Most of them do make great comedic bits but give them a 90 minute roll time and a bigger budget and most would likely fail. Some YouTubers even fail when given a Netflix show of just 30 minutes.
There hasn't been a true classic comedy film in maybe 10 years now.

shyt, homie, NO ONE carries movies anymore. Comedies are more prevalent on streaming services because for the most part, audiences decided theaters are only for big movies. My friends with kids talk about this all the time. When they manage to get some free time and want to see a movie, its going to be a big blockbuster they feel is worth the time. feel like a comedy can be watched at home and just isn't worth the aggravation
Marty tried to tell us this but THEY kept bringing up this box office numbers

this a bigger reason than anything. Cant go to the movies by yourself with less than 30 bucks. Wealth inequality affects everything.

Biggest reasons comedies arent getting dropped:

1. regular people cant afford to go to the movies
2. They're more worried about the chinese marktet.
3. IP copyright laws means they can buy any story and make sequels till infinity.
