Just too much standing around

Whether on offense, defense, going for a rebound

Im watching Magic/Thunder, and bodies are flying around everywhere, making plays. Im watching our game, and its dudes standing around doing nothing

  • Continuously resting on picks and not even attempting to fight over pick and rolls, but instead switching.
  • Jimmy dribbling the air out of the ball for more than half the shot clock and not passing to an open Taj right in front which would've cut the lead to a single possession in OT
  • Rose bailing the defense out by taking a step back jumper and losing the ball on a easy lay-up, which again would've cut the lead to a single possession.
They allowed Detroit to muddy up the waters, and they pulled it out. Game was mired with low b-ball IQ. I don't want to hear Rose say again that he's going to look to get his teammates involved first and then take over in the 4th. Just play your game.
Agreed. Rose has a team around him now, but that doesn't mean he should be passive. I'm looking at OKC with both Westbrook and Durant putting up 30+ shots, and they have a deep team as well. Also, Westbrook started that game shooting 2-11, but that didn't stop him from putting up 25 more shots.

problem is no one could guard Reggie and he's not even a top PG

if PGs realize they can just take the ball down the middle everry possession we are gonna be fukked

Thibs defense prevented alot of that penetration and we've taken a huge stepback if this game is any evidence

furthermore the offense didn't look quite as good, still mired with bad passing...

So many things bad about tonight, not even worth discussing

No easy wins in our division anymore

I dont know what Derrick will look like by game 30, but I cant stomach another season seeing him shoot 40%. Hes gotta figure something out

They was saying he was gone take over the 4th :mindblown:and get the team involved the first 3 how can you do that. How can you be so confident when you ain't did shyt. What happens if you struggling.

Noah probably should have played more just to be tougher than Pau on the defensive glass
:francis:
Should have played more.....he should be a starter. Fred clearly was only looking at the offensive benefits of pairing Niko & Pau together, because they are absolutely horrible on the defensive end. Starting Noah along with Niko would be the best of both worlds defensively/offensively. No more handing the ball to him at the top of the key as Rose/Butler will be running the offense most of the time. Feel like Pau can't keep up with most of the starting Cs in this league(Hmm, wonder why?). He would have no problem feasting on bench players and his scoring would be beneficial to the 2nd unit.

sad to say he was one of the most athletically gifted players in nba history, but at the same time, one of the most overrated.. he has no IQ or elite b-ball skill level..everything was predicated on premier athleticism

Honestly Niko ain't that bad defensively.

He did well for the most part on those switches tonight. I hate when he gives up an easy and 1 though...

Pau just gives up a lot in the toughness department when he's out there. And to me it wouldn't matter if he came off the bench or not, he would still be getting pushed around out there. Who didn't think that Drum was going to get off tonight against Pau tonight?

Snell definitely got cooked this game after he got in foul trouble early. Niko was giving up penetration too from 'guarding' Jackson on the perimeter, as he was drawn away from the basket from all of the switching. And the last thing you need is to leave soft ass Pau in there trying to keep the best offensive rebounder off the boards by himself.

Noah probably should have played more just to be tougher than Pau on the defensive glass
:francis:

They need to become one player at this point. Polar opposites - most of their strengths is the other's weakness.
