He'd have to do more than that...he would have to reform his whole game. First off, you're not gonna go in a UFC ring with a boxing stance/footwork and not get taken down. Secondly, effective boxing in MMA is different from actual boxing and along with that, he would have to learn how to deal with various clinches and how to defend against kicks.

you have no clue what you are talking about, nobody in MMA can box, which is why Mcgregor Ko'd Aldo when he leaped in like an amatuer

the boxing stance is fine for MMA and defend anything from the waist up, body kicks and kicks to the head

only elite wrestlers would have a chance to beat an elite boxer in MMA, fights would only last a few seconds

MMA fighters have zero defense on the stand up

anderson silva dominated using basic ass head movement he was even really good at lmao

Floyd still would dominate if he worked with a coach like greg jackson on avoiding take downs
the angles he throws his punches for would make short work of them guys, and he's already great a creating the distance he would need

Any time I see a thread like this on any kind of forum, the people talking shyt know nothing about boxing. It's been funny seeing Dana backtrack recently and say he couldn't pay his fighters like boxers because MMA doesn't have the same history. He was singing a different tune around 2005 or so.

The amount of PPV buys and paycheques for boxers proves that boxing isn't dead.
While I myself prefer MMA due to the much higher variety of moves and fight ending possibilities, I certainly still enjoy boxing, even if the rhythm sometimes tends to be a little slower than MMA.

I enjoy wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, Judo, TKD, Karate, and many other combat sports.
But MMA blends them into one melting pot, and that's why I love MMA.

I'm not gonna disrespect another sport though :yeshrug:

Better cards don't matter, tbh. It's all filler for the main event last night is a perfect example.

Also can't say that the UFC promotion has better fights than boxing as a whole.

The better matchups up top is what made boxing great in it's hayday and what makes UFC great now. But that alone isn't enough to say UFC > boxing. Especially since boxers are getting back in the habit of fighting each other again
How was Miocic knocking out a former UFC HW champ filler?:mjlol:

It is that inferiority complex that MMA people have regarding boxing that makes them constantly try to claim boxing is dead and MMA has overtaken boxing as a sport.
UFC stans been declaring boxing dead since Dana White opened his mouth way back in 2010 2007 claiming the sport was finished yet boxing continues to thrive in ways that UFC can only dream of doing.

Fixed.
