And in the end, no one even many diehards were satisfied with that fight.... Don't even want to see a rematch.

But some of the top MMA fights though....

1 too many. But even so. It'll happen again. Even a rematch would have more viewers than the top mma match. I'm not even talking about the quality of the fight.

Boxing stylistically is more appealing. Two guys just punching at each other for 12 rounds. MMA has too much holding which is part of the sport.

Whoa.... thats not full truths..... A lot of boxing is 2 guys just holding each other too and running around a ring.

Both sports men "hold" each other the only difference is in boxing its on the feet.

With respect to the length of the sport and fights... there has been more hugging and clinching in Boxing then there has ever been in MMA.

And not trynna shyt on Floyd who is a GREAT Boxer... but lets not pretend budding isnt King of the clinch fest.

Like he would tell you himself.. his whole style is to NOT get hit. So he's one that mastered the art of being evasive (which some would try to disrespect and say running) and clinching when the heat gets too hot. Yes he may fire off a few shots or too, but he's not gonna be that "warrior mode" fighter. Hence why so many (casuals and die hards) call his style boring.

So I think its fair to discredit the whole "stylistically more appealing" thing. In boxing, a 12 round hugfest drags longer then and MMA 3-5 round hugfest.

And the rate of guys ending a fight earlier seems to be a tad bit higher in MMA. I cant recall the last high profile boxing match that didnt end in a decision outside of when Pac got KO'd.

Boxing has been around way longer than mma, so there definitely has been more holding in comparison. The ref breaks up the clinching in boxing. Grappling is part of mma. Going to the ground can be very boring. Floyd still sold millions fighting that way.

Not denying that.... but its still nothing that stops cats from going back to clinching after the ref breaks them up.

Ive seen some "clinch fest" matches in my lifetime.... more in boxing than mma.

I've seen more KO's and earlier finished matches in mma

I never hated on Floyd or said he was ducking Pac as I believe that is the furthest thing from the truth.

I dont wish that Floyd lost (what are you even talking about here) and as a black man I'm actually VERY happy he ended his career dominate and undefeated.

I do agree and of course know that not every boxing match is a KO, lots of them are indeed technical/tactical... but not too much for me to understand but on the flip side the same can be said for MMA... not all are these "hug fest" that many love to claim and those too are technical/tactical... maybe too much for the common boxing fan to understand

I don't toot my own horn, but those same poster's opinions in The Ring that YOU claim to respect talking Boxing....those guys respect me when it comes to talking Boxing as I do them.
