Entourage is something that I've never understood. Why do people like it? It's not funny and it's not dramatic. It just...is.

For me because it's real. Having lived in hollywood for 5 years, it's REALLY like that. I mean they are very detailed. It's not unusual to go to lunch some where and hear some agent going off like Ari Gold, the network game really is like that. Turtles grind (or lack of) sooooo damn common around LA/Hollywood. That's the dude that you catch at a club and he invites you to his boys crib off sunset, then when you get there, is promoting (insert idea) while the owner of the house (some upcoming rnb nikka) is some where in the house getting some head lol.

also it's nice to see my old hood, seeing all the venues I used to go to, the streets, the LA vibe. They deplict it so accurate. They film all over LA. Watching entourage is watching LA.

Can't imagine there will be a big audience that will go to the theater to see this. Should just make it an HBO movie or mini series.

So do i because if the story still has Turtle making moves and E doing the same it will stink, remember that 1st season when Ari goes to the beach party and sons Josh the other agent, that was real, Ari explained he went to Harvard law, paid his dues and you could tell he was a go getter from the start, then you have E come out of nowhere overthrow Murray and he is player all of a sudden, lazy writing.

No it's not, networking > any degree. That shyt really happens in LA. it will have you like

Some people are just witty, great brown nosers, networkers (its about who you know) and charasmatic. People get black listed, hands change, that shyt is real.

You do realize entourage is loosely based off Mark Wahlbergs experiences right? Ari Gold is an actual character. lol.

I know Ari is real, he is the mayor of a city now, i mean E, i hate this guy, a pizza boy as he was called early on, now an agent? Yeah right. Vince is the least charismatic star i have ever seen, yet he gets these big roles, the guy who plays in real life gets no work, so how we expect him to be getting these roles? Turtle another bum, a dummy getting liquor deals, no education, no skills but Fight Night for X-box 360 pulling better girls than Drama an actor who was a tv show on NBC, brother to a famous star, matter of act the disrespect that shown Drama is sick, when the show started it was implied they lived with him, he feed them till Vince blew, yet he can't get a job.

2nd Generation Wayans was certainly influenced by Entourage.

If HBO Sex in the City the movie popped off then Entourage certainly has a chance to due the same.
You can't compare the 2 shows, all the actresses on that show could open a movie, Jeremy Pivin is the only "star" in that cast. Women and gay guys loved that show, guys just like entourage.

I used to work at a pizza shop back in the day, and I'm a music booking agent now, I guess I don't understand your point. Granted im not bankrolling yet, but you make it seem like theres no one in the world that is successful that didn't graduate Harvard and/or have an MBA and instead comes from a more humble background. It's not that unbelievable, and there are so many other aspects of this show that can be picked apart :manny: But I digress...

No i am not putting dudes down who start at the bottom i am doing the opposite, E is not a go getter, he is lazy and lucky, Sloan father Terrance is a billionaire, her uncle Murray ran that agency, he had 1 client like Sloans father said that was Vince, he implied that E was doing nothing to get where he was which was true. Ari had no money remember , his wife did, but he went to school and was a hustler, he put in the grind to make it to the top, that's way studios wanted him to run them, you think any real agency would hire E without Vince?:rudy:

The wack ass writing in the final 2 seasons really ruined the series, IMO. Had the perfect ending in the season 6 finale that could've led to the movie, if anything.

No, thats Ari's brother.

Man, that shyt happens. I'll just leave it at that. Most agents don't have degrees and really started as personal assistants, mail dudes etc. My ex-roommate is in the mail room right now, and has a couple of pretty sick indie flicks under his belt, all he needs is a foot in the door, just 1 person to take time to check out his work.

Vince is the least charismatic star i have ever seen, yet he gets these big roles, the guy who plays in real life gets no work, so how we expect him to be getting these roles?
Keenu Reeves anyone?

Mark Walhberg btw really was having those Vincent 'ups and downs' with gigs.

Turtle another bum, a dummy getting liquor deals, no education, no skills but Fight Night for X-box 360 pulling better girls
Because of the car he drives, the parties he goes too, and he NETWORKS. He's way more popular than Drama. Drama is not as charasmatic as Turtle. Man I seen this kind of shyt ALL THE TIME in LA. Even mufukkas that just act like they're big shyt, but have nothing. The car alone and pulling up VIP with Vince will get him hoes. You just don't know the hollywood scene man. People will do anything to get into the in crowd.

Drama an actor who was a tv show on NBC, brother to a famous star, matter of act the disrespect that shown Drama is sick, when the show started it was implied they lived with him, he feed them till Vince blew, yet he can't get a job.
So many talented actors can't find work. It's about networking, luck, sometimes these things just happen. Drama self destructs soooo much. He's not the sharpest tool in the box, and EXPECTS shyt to happen. Remember how he acted when he got the cartoon gig? damn near lost the fukking deal because he expected he should be doing more. He's burned bridges doing that shyt, and word travels light speed in hollywood.

You should read Variety, it's pretty accurate in terms of 'behind the scene' politics of hollywood.

you know the film is going to be something like Vince losing mad money to the English broad in a divorce and needs to find a new blockbuster to be in.

i mean E, i hate this guy, a pizza boy as he was called early on, now an agent? Yeah right

like the guy said youd be surprised these things happen.
things can just fall into your lap..especially if you're related in some form.

i wouldn't compare myself to any of them but a few years ago i blagged my way into some fancy event in Manhattan on some shytty white collar crime idea i had was in on and ended up getting offered by some dude who was working for Prada to go to the casting callback things for models for fashion week season, one of the reasons being i had "real mens eyebrows that weren't perfect"... i fukked it up because i got sick and lost weight so when i went they told me i lost too much weight in my arms and i was too skinny for clothes with no collars and sleeveless.

it can happen.

The wack ass writing in the final 2 seasons really ruined the series, IMO. Had the perfect ending in the season 6 finale that could've led to the movie, if anything.

I never liked how E and Turtle disrespected Drama. Never. Both those dudes' livelihood started and ended with Vince. Drama atleast had somewhat of a career. Vince could talk all the shyt he wanted to Drama but, those two dudes had no room to say shyt :birdman:

I fukking hated E and all of his bullsh*t. fukk E, man. The show was always centered around his whiney/simpy bs.

E was a fakkit at times. I think dude was in love with Vince the way he hated anybody else coming around him. He got all touchy feeling when Scott first came around, when he was actually a cool dude. Then he got all butt hurt when Dom came out to LA when he was a dude from the neighborhood like them. And Vince was cool with him being there :beli: He tried to make it look like Dom was a loose cannon and always fighting when E fights people every other episode. And then in the end, Dom showed that he wasn't there for Vince's money by getting his own crib & own life by himself, making the way they acted towards him even more messed up :beli:

If you've never been "involved" with the entertainment industry in LA how can you say what's realistic and what's not?

:beli:

I'm gonna watch it...I'm just saying it's 2013...

Of course you're gonna watch it. That's what makes the "it's too late" brigade so funny :heh:
