It's funny I think of Benoit as a scum bag now and I'm not a religious person but if Hell exist I hope he's burning in it. And I have no problem with WWE erasing him from the history books. With all that said, I have no problems watching old matches of his.

Benoit will always be a top 5 in ring performer for me, that has nothing to do with this outside life

HBGOAT classic WM20 main event is buried by WWE because of this dude :pacspit:

I think that was the only time in the modern E that I heard HBK get booed MERCILESSLY by the crowd

I can appreciate what he did in the ring. I remembered following dude's career as a shorty all the way from WCW. His intensity and skills were no joke. Wrestlers coming up could learn alot from not just his style but everything he did in there; he has got to be top 5 in ring.

As for what he did, of course it is all sorts of fukked up but his head was legit messed up, I believe. Everytime he did a diving head butt that had to take a toll on his health as well as all those chair shots to the dome; gotta take into account all the some brutal ass matches he endured. I wasn't there so I can't say he snapped and was out of it thereby not fully cognizant of his will but it is what it is and his hands executed those actions.

The lack of proper, consistent medical check ups may have saved some lives. I remember the autopsy saying that dude's brain had deteriorated to that of an 80 year old. It's amazing what the biz does to some of these OG guys :smh:

I don't have a large expansive base of knowledge on how those old wrestlers lived and did their thing back then but looking at today vs past... no contest :wow:... them dudes back then had shyt rough.

This may be on some HL shyt but this event interest me because it always makes me ask the question to myself "would I ever do something like this if... I had been through [blank], [blank] and [blank]". I'd like to say no but I really don't know. I can say however, nobody told him to start taking all those drugs but in that time if you wanted to succeed you had to do what was necessary I suppose. Yet, the outcome is not what he or anyone would desire. Dude was so driven that its like the weight of his ambition is what did him in.

The Insane Clown Posse’s new CD features a song titled, “Chris Benoit.” Violent J spoke to Freep about the song, which he described as follows…

“It’s about that loss of sanity. It’s about the snapping, that moment of panic.”

:ohhh: ..... :snoop:

I still watch his matches, but the thought of what he did always hovers around me whenever I see him on the screen.

I remember when I first heard the news I immediately thought that someone came into his house and killed the entire family. A couple of days later the truth started to come out and it was shocking.

If you ever read Jericho's second book, he mentioned that after Eddie died, it REALLY messed Benoit up. He took it hard, and if Eddie was still alive, this whole incident might not have happened because Benoit was closer to Eddie than anyone else on the roster.
