Petrino never been one to need 4 & 5 star recruits to win tho. He'd be fine with the talent they have now and are able to get from other states
Bunch if dikk heads in Knoxville that have ZERO business about them and have no understanding whatsoever about the tradition of UT and what TENNESSEE is.
The job was fukking EASY and a bunch if morons came in and tried to get tricky and make a name for themselves and fukked it all up.

IT'S TENNESSEE. There are a TON of coaches, alumni, former players, boosters with ties back there. Old AD Mike Hamilton fragmented the fan base giving Fulmer the ax. Now no one knows what to do.
At one time you would have had to have been a complete fukk tard to ruin this job. Somehow UT amassed ALL OF THE fukkTARDS IN THE UNIVERSE on The Hill.
Fire everyone and start over, or bring Fulmer back and get some of the old gang together when UT was worth a damn in the late 90s-early 2000s. This search is a complete dumpster fire and there's no redeeming hire that could erase the immense embarrassment the university has already been through since they sent Dooley packing with five fukking million dollars for picking his nose on the sideline.

Somehow in the Hamilton era he gutted the whole program. Fulmer got complacent, got fired, then the Kiffin debacle (which doesn't look like a great hire anyway), then Dooley. Hamilton gets ushered out, in comes Hart who runs a fukking coaching search like he doesn't even want a fukking coach. He can't GIVE this job away. The whole time all of this stuff is going on there are buyouts, there are coaching contracts, there are new hires, and fans aren't even going to the games.
Mismanagement at every level has cost a once elite program everything. Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky already have their guy. Tennessee is stumbling around like a drunk at closing time at a bar getting declined by EVERYONE. Eventually we'll find another loser.

Tennessee should have just cheated through the 2000s. There's NO WAY the NCAA could have punished UT this bad. Not a chance.
Tennessee, on its own, has given themselves the following:
bowl bans under Fulmer's last year and Dooley's last 2 years.
reduced scholarships in the form of attrition throughout the roster with all the coaching changes
loss of MILLIONS in the form of buyouts and hires
