It's extremely petty and bizzare that a show of passion derailed Howard dean's pres ambitions

Howard Dean is not from New Hampshire. He's from NY AND he served in Vermont. Why are you lying?:dwillhuh:
I meant Governor of Vermont, my bad. It wasn't a lie, but a typo (my earlier post said Dean was Governor of Vermont). My point was his location boosted his numbers in that race, which you agreed with by saying Kerry is from Massachusetts.
We're not moving the conversation anywhere. My initial position is that his campaign is the reason he tanked, not memes. And we have an entire history of elections since then that show memes aren't swaying elections like that. :comeon:
THis post says two different things. (three if we want to talk about Russians stealing elections through memes, but we wont go there)

Memes don't tank elections. Cool. But 644 mentions and jokes on TV in 4 days after said scream when the closest thing we had to modern social media was MySpace/BlackPlanet/AsianPlanet can sway things. Jokes on 'serious' news shows and late night talk shows =/= memes.

So once I say he didn't tank because of his outburst, but because he just wasn't a good enough candidate and then show data that supports that you get upset.
Im not upset. You literally don't know what you are talking about. You told us it was a pop culture moment from the CHappelle show in 2006 when the numbers show that this shyt happened in real time on TV in 2004. :russ:

Dean scream is only relevant today because of Dave Chappelle. You don't have to agree with it, but no one is looking it up in 2022 otherwise. :umad:

As far as the rest of this trash thread even the sources @Rhakim posted agree with me that it didn't tank his campaign. Some have even said it would have boosted his campaign in the modern era.:banderas:

Despite retrospective pieces about the Dean scream summarizing it as a political gaffe that doomed Dean's campaign,[1][8][15] this has been contested by not only political experts and journalists but also Dean and his campaign staff. While they admitted the scream was used by the Washington establishment and news media corporations to dismiss Dean's increasingly-voguish campaign because "they didn't fundamentally understand" it, they blamed the loss on a lack of structure, poor media training and a risky strategy entirely focused on winning Iowa.[1][16][17] Trippi suggested that even if Dean acted more controlled at the rally, "I'm not sure it would've mattered."[1] Graff also suggested the scream "sucked up all the oxygen" out of John Edwards' polling numbers in the Iowa caucus, causing him to lose.[1]

Christine Pelosi stated Dean had been doomed to fail after his third-place result in Iowa.[18] Pacific Standard analyzed a lack of insider support (a strong factor in a candidate's chance of becoming a presidential nominee) already ruining his prospects beforehand, as his public attacks towards Republicans and Democrats who supported the Iraq War already turned off any desire from insiders to endorse him.[19] Historian David Eisenbach said that although the scream contributed to Dean's loss, it would not have done so without the media's previous crazy-person portrayal of Dean.[20] Media scholar Robert Thompson suggested that the scream would have worked for Dean far better if he campaigned in 2016.[21]

Y'all have fun in your circle jerk. I think I've made you all sufficiently :umad: enough.

This is like saying no one cares about the Willie Horton ad in 2022. :dead:

Because its impact in 2022 is what this thread asks. :dead:

The so-called liberal media discredits every progressive presidential candidate that gains traction by playing up the “crazy” angle.
All of the media companies are owned by some lowkey conservative cac.

You can't be that rich and NOT be a conservative in this country.

Dudes like Arthur Blank (I believe he hates trump) aren't the norm

NOBODY heard the Dean Scream live. That got leaked by some sound guy and since he was neutral on Israel...NEUTRAL, that was all they needed. Right after that, the piling on started, people started floating all kinds of silliness like "is he sane? :ohhh:" the you-know-whos made sure he wasn't getting nominated.
