Go to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, and become a Rhodes Scholar. After that, you'll pretty much have the right to publish whatever bullshyt you want and because of your background, everyone will think your work is "intellectual" especially if it's typical left wing garbage.

So you want to be apart of the intelligentsia? Well, you're going to be doing a lot of reading... Books, Newspapers, Magazines, ect. Also, add a new word to your vocabulary everyday. Be acquaint with current and past affairs.

1. Question Everything, never take anyones word as truth unless you can examine it for yourself in some way.
2. Keep and open mind to any/all things. Get off that "white people do this, black people do that" stuff.
3. Read. Simply READ.
4. Accept that you will never know EVERYTHING, but thirst for knowing MORE.

I'm already shaking my head on Robert Greenes next book on how to read people. Life is so current and collective right now. I think society is balancing out in so many new ways and waves.

What languages do you speak? What sciences have you studied? What philosophies of thought have you mastered? Which martial arts have you practiced to the highest degree? How many countries have you been to? What political schools of thought do you adhere to? If you want to be an intellectual, you have to be able to answer these types of questions. Better to be great at something, than good at everything. Pick one thing you want to master like @ThatTruth777 said, and go from there. I've always preferred language, because if you don't understand what I'm saying, then what does it matter what it is I'm talking about? So I would start with one of the Romance Languages, or an East Asian language, such as Hindi or Pu tong hua

How to unlock your own potential. What made Da Vinci, Da Vinci. Basically how to learn, how the brain works, etc. Must Read Breh. I can tell you would greatly benefit from it. It sets you on the path of life long learning. And says it's natural to pursue your maximum potential, it's your contribution to human evolution. I mean, what else are you doing with your life right?
It's actually very simple in premise, but it sets you up to take your education in your own hands.
