Blame Roman has to be the laziest go to in IWC. Why not shower Vince McMahon in booes when he shows up instead of bowing to him like he's a righteous God? I myself haven't watched the WWE but from last I saw they tend to hold his appearances back, you make it seem like he begins and ends the show, gives multiple promos and wrestles. I've said it before and it really doesn't matter but everything is there for him to be the top heel instead of being metta and saying he gets too many opportunities but it won't happen because of Vince.

You all make it seem like WWE doesn't have a problem for exposing their own talent . We blame the TSC heel turn for the reason talent like Finn Balor who we were high on falling out of favor with us instead of WWE for coasting/misusing them. How about Nakamura failing multiple times for the WWE championship? I bet their line of thinking is he doesn't have to get it now he's popular. It's only the wrestler's faults if they have bad matches and the only bad matches Roman has had is against over the hill Taker and Brock because it's repetitive and Lesnar doesn't give a fukk. WWE investing too much into him and keeping his character the same is their problem.

It's just as much Romans fault as it is WWE

Roman has acknowledged he knows he isn't liked yet he still accepts and goes along with the plans to make him "the guy"

He's complicit

"Hey boss, don't push me, don't put me in the main events, don't put me with Brock, don't let me finish out WM. I don't want the extra money, I don't want to displease these fans any further."

Blame Vince's senile man crush on Roman for ruining WWE. I'm shocked that Roman still has legit fans on here. Just like OP, I used to be able to tolerate Reigns but now I can't stand him.

I still fukk with Roman. Consider me part of that Empire. The E really fukked up by having him main event Mania 4 years in a row tho. Him retiring The Undertaker wasn't a bad move IMO...Him retiring Taker to close the show? Nahhhhhhh. Him and Braun were the best thing going last year, and even Roman haters was chanting that fight forever bullshyt, so we know the fans can get behind something that Roman is involved in. Fans also know though that he's constantly next up for a title shot whenever.

If anything ruined wrestling it’s honestlythe fans who feel entitled. People think they are insiders because they use words like “book, heat, kayfabe” and forget they are watching a TV show. Could you imagine fans chanting “You deserve it” to Jake the Snake while he’s trying to cut a dark promo :mjlol:

These fans watch with their own agenda and figure that “well I pay and I watch...the boss should listen to me and people who think like me” when literally no form of entertainment is like that except for singing competitions like The Voice. Sports aren’t like that... if your team loses they lose :manny: music isn’t like that... if you don’t like an artist you don’t support them and they don’t go hunt you down for your opinion. TV isn’t like that... you don’t watch the show and it either stays on or gets cancelled.

The entitlement of the wrestling fan is far worse than RR. :yeshrug:

I constantly say this. Not saying fans should just shut the fukk up and enjoy the show, but the current state of things is a definite result of fans trying to hijack the product. We have an absentee Universal Champion who might not even make one of the most important PPV's of the year because the fans rejected Roman, and now Vince's window to give Roman some super era defining crowning title win is officially closed. If Vince would've said fukk it, we could have a Lashley-Reigns program right now with a potential Braun cash in(making Braun even more fun to watch with briefcase fukkery). The only upside right now is Bobby Lashley can now be built to believably go against Brock. IMO Roman should be having a decent Universal title run right now, instead of having 3 World Champion runs totaling 77 days. Fans can cry and boo all they want, at least the fukking title would be there, which is more important to me than any rocket push.

When the statement “Roman is talented” is made.

What talent does Roman actually has that say, Drew Mac or Joe or Lashley or Sami or etc guy don’t have?

So you say that fans should just be sheep and accept mediocrity?

No not at all.

Fans have a choice (as they do with any other form of entertainment)

watch...or don't watch :yeshrug:

But acting like an insider and trying to "determine" who should win based on the arbitrary system of "I like X...I don't like Y...so X should win and Y should jump off of a cliff" is silly as fyck :mjlol:

people take "wrestling" so serious...it's LESS believable than Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead. It's literally grown men and women coming from the same backstage area in their underwear, play fighting in the ring, for meaningless belts meant to resemble boxing titles. There is no point in trying to be a "smart mark" or getting so upset that "Vince chose Roman...I hate Roman... Braun doesn't need the briefcase." etc. because it's literally a TV show. It's incredibly easy to turn it off if someone is that worked up by it :yeshrug:

"be sheep and accept mediocrity" is such a silly statement for an optional thing like entertainment. If you don't like the Mike Myers movie "The Love Guru" (a terrible less than mediocre movie) you don't have to watch it. You don't have to be a fan of it. No one is forcing you to watch it. We use these terms and these feelings like the WWE is a your only form of entertainment. If you don't like it now you can turn on the network and watch re-runs. You can watch PWG, ROH, NJPW, AAA, Lucha Underground, etc. etc. You can choose to watch any other "sport". If the product is mediocre, no one is forcing anyone to "be a sheep and accept it", you have all of the right in the world to opt out.

The issue (specifically with that statement...and this ties to my original point) is that we feel "entitled" to better. It's not going to get better, so why complain? They aren't going to crown YOUR or MY favorite wrestler champion tomorrow, so why care to the point where it matters personally? They aren't going to put Vader in the HOF before his death, or give black wrestlers more appropriate gimmicks, or (insert gripe), or any other thing that you or I think they should or should've already done.

(I know that part of the camaraderie of being a wrestling fan is complaining, but hopefully you can decipher what I'm saying)

I just wanna preface this by saying I was a huge Reigns fan around two years ago. I still think he’s talented and actually could have been the guy WWE wanted him to be if circumstances were different. I’m sympathetic towards the guy because WWE has completely mismanaged his career.. But damn, Reigns’ relentless push has really taken a toll on the product.

Viewer interest is at an all-time low. Creative has been trash for years at this point, imo since WM31. Everything just feels like a conduit to get Reigns over. I haven’t watched RAW since 2016 but I’ll tune into all the big PPVS and end up feeling like I wasted my time. It’s just funny to me that a few years ago dudes would say “you won’t stop watching” and there was an element of truth to that but now people really stopped watching. I mean I just saw that the RAW thread has 30 pages :picard:

I honestly believe that not even turning heel would save Roman at this point. He needs to go away for a bit. Like six months or something.

So yea let's not compromise and change things up slightly and just let the company and business die therefore we won't have a platform to do anything at all right?

That is their line of thinking. Someone asked Road Dogg about having Asuka vs Becky at SummerSlam and he went off on dude (and fans) for always wanting stuff now and not later knowing damn well Mandy Rose vs Nikki Bella is gonna be the SD Women's Title match at WM :mjlol:

If champagne Reigns was a bad worker I'd agree. Regardless of how you feel about his booking he always brings it. It's not fault his boss is obsessed.:manny:
Bring it? When and where? Last stand out match where everything was legit was Bryan vs Reigns at Fast lane in 2015.

That’s one thing I always appreciated with WCW and current shows like LU.

Guys either went away for a bit or weren’t on tv every week and never got exposed.

People forget with Raw debuted on tv, there was a time you’d never see the top guys on tv like that.

That’s why I don’t get mad at the lack of Brock, when Hulk was on champ in the 80s you’d never see him wrestle on tv. Or Flair in WCW.
