The same rules you apply to white people. Apply it to other races.

And I just did with that example you gave. I can't wait til the day I do something worth acknowledging and someone pulls up photos of the mixed and White people to try and discredit me being Black.

Only a person with an inferiority complex cares about this stuff.

@Poitier

:aicmon: breh you smarter than that.

"Everyone is mixed"

Why do you guys do this? Conflating a person with a non-black parent to the average black person who has no immediate family members of another race is  :dead:..Again you guys are arguing for inclusiveness yet narrowing the experiences of people with different backgrounds.

I didn't say they were the same, I said when do we acknowledge it. You're saying if the relative is alive and immediate then it should be noted?

No you don't. You'll never call someone with a black parent white regardless of what they look like. Let's take Rashida Jones for instance. You won't call her white. Even though shes looks white and her mother is white.

She looks more white than she does black. That's the same reaction that I had when you said Obama looked black.

But you know I'm right. You don't apply the same rules that you have for the black race to the white race and vice versa.

I think people should be identified as what they are. Period.

If you're black, you're black. If you're white, you're white. If you're mixed, you're mixed.

Not rocket science here.

In America being mixed is apart of being black.

It depends. Do you mean will we ever have a black person of mixed race or a black person that is pure african?

Because we already have a black person of mixed race as president. as opposed to a white person of mixed race like president lincoln.

as far as purity it would be pretty impossible to find an american citizen that doesn't some mixture in their blood down the line.

Most black people are only 60% to 70% african.

you saying that because obama is 10% less than average that he considers himself to be white? naw. i've heard him say on many occasions that he is a black man.

but by your logic we've never had a white president either.

I'm talking about Kenyan Luo people here. Not African-Americans who are a mixture of several West African ethnic groups and other things. Look at Obama's Kenyan family. There are all dark and have distinct features. Obama looks nothing like them, because his mother is a white woman.

Knowing this, would African Americans be considered "Black" to you?

Straight answer please.

I am not going to explain to you what a Berber is. Maybe you shouldn't be having these conversations if you do not know what an Arab, Berber, etc is.

There are different kinds of "pro-white" people. Some are more extremist than others, just like there are some people who are more "pro-black" than others. A person's "pro-white" level can dictate their decision-making. For example, a white dude might have a slight preference for whites but not so much that it overrides his other preferences. Other white dudes have a huge pro-white preference that overrides everything. It's a scale. The "subliminal" stuff I pointed out is still there and it still affects society and decisions, and so it is still relevant. In fact it is probably factors into why Obama is President today. That is all I'm sayin
Very true

this is nothing to do with slavery, yes they were slaves but not in the field like black people. some slave masters had bi-racial children, NO slaves masters had black children. Obama is NOT as dark as a black man lol, c'mon. dude is starbucks mocha coffee with lots of milk at best.
I was using slavery as an example and what are you talking about as far as his skin color? Are you saying a person all black can't be his complexion? I have a cousin that's a few shades lighter than him and he is all black. Black parents and everything....:pachaha:
