I would like to think people's views have progressed, but I know that some people are still fukked up...they will only vote or NOT vote based on a person's skin colour and that's pathetic to me. If you have two candidates and one is black and one is white, you know they're both bullshyt in a way because they're politicians, but I'd just vote for the one whose views I support. Depends on the racist in question. Historically whites have been more comfortable with mixed and half breeds than full blacks, not just in America but in places like Brazil too.

Obama was elected on the basis he was a racially concillatory force, meaning that he was supposed to "bring America together". This was predicated on the notion he was half white. That's what probably made white people comfortable enough to elect him.

There are different kinds of "pro-white" people. Some are more extremist than others, just like there are some people who are more "pro-black" than others. A person's "pro-white" level can dictate their decision-making. For example, a white dude might have a slight preference for whites but not so much that it overrides his other preferences. Other white dudes have a huge pro-white preference that overrides everything. It's a scale.The "subliminal" stuff I pointed out is still there and it still affects society and decisions, and so it is still relevant. In fact it is probably factors into why Obama is President today. That is all I'm sayin
