Nelson has been revitalized with this storyline involving NOAH. He's a crook, but he's an honest crook. That may just be good enough considering the other options.

Poor Sonny. Linh's father won't let him hit it, but then again Sonny's a recovering addict who beat his last girlfriend. Not exactly a pillar of trust.

If I had one complaint about the episode, it was about the investigative journalist trying to break the story. I was intrigued by it, but the break between the 1st scene and the 2nd one made it difficult to remember the details of the story. The curse of having so many characters, I guess.

And Annie's still :noah:.

I like how they're setting up this season.

I like how they're going to key on the kids through Antoine's story, could be piff considering how well The Wire's 4 Season was.

I see that manager dude trying to smash Annie. Curious to see how Davis copes with her popularity. He seems to be happy for her now, but will get get jealous?

Big Chief is :flabbynsick:... if he passes away... :to:

I don't know to be for or against Nelson. Is he looking out for the city? I don't now. But at least he's going to be the reason those houses really get worked on.

Not really feeling Ladonna's story. Her attitude is annoying, and she's ugly.

I think Nelson wants to do good as long as he can profit from it. That's one step better than the chick who was just trying to line her own pockets.

I don't think Nelson wants to do good, he just doesn't see the point in gaming a system that's already stacked in his favor. I like him, tho.

I like that the chef is likely headed back to N.O.... didn't like her NY scenes. Also good to see the trumpeter in New Orleans.

I think Sonny's gonna fall off the wagon... he's going back to gigging, coupled with his girl's overbearing father I think he's finna falter.

And DJ Davis still annoys the hell out of me.

When Sonny took his girl out to that bar with her dad, wasn't that girl singing with the tats the same chick he smashed in the first season?

One of the better episodes of the series, if only for the pair of t*ts on that blonde Nelson was tapping. :ohlawd:

Antoine stepping out with a fat chick :pachaha:

That scene with Ladonna and Delmond. :wow:

You know Toni's white with the way she loves pissing off police and getting away with it.

wish this show just got its own channel in the 990s where it just went on forever and ever. it might actually be harder to break away from this when it goes off the air. with most shows, it's about a story and a denouement and closure and all that. with this one, there's nothing to look forward to. so if you like it, there's no huge payoff to salve the wound of it leaving.

plus you know once it's over you're never gonna watch it again, no matter how much you like it. just one of those shows.

pretty much. They gonna do one more season after this. I only watch it because I've watched every episode since it came on.

What I'm trippin on though is how Jill Scott's African ladies detective show only got one season and this got 4. That show was better imo.

didn't watch the african detective lady show :manny:

david simon might have been trolling lightly with this one. he knew people were gonna give him a longer rope than normal because of how late everyone caught on to the wire. they wouldn't wanna neglect a classic until the final season again. so he used every bit of that rope possible. 4.5 seasons for an extremely slow sunday night show that literally has no plot? :bryan:

Everywhere
Shows basically a docudrama.

No plot at all its just like watching people's real lives. I'm guessing that's what Simon was going for though.
